Not the best for even our group of 5 adults. Like Royal Carribean, in general just not this ship. Disappointing to only list 2 Cuba ports, not the 3 as advertised! Charged 50 dollars for a towel that we turned in so verify that they COUNT correctly.
Take a cruise that spends a night in Havana. Only visited 2 Cuba ports instead of the three that were suppposed to be included. I think that Royal Carribean knew well in advance that we would not be able to go the our first location. Had they shared that info we would have chosen a diffferent Cuba cruise.

Onboard Activities

Not much going on sometimes. Rely too much on trivia and games.
Entertainment

All performers were excellent except the last comedian was actually not funny. We did not care for his "humor".
Service and Staff

Ship tip
Pick another ship that offers more. We would not use Royal Carriban's Empress of the seas again for any cruise. No quiet place to talk . We were a family group o5 5 from 3 different states. Could not find a coufortable site to chat and catch up on our lives, children, etc.
Our guide was excellent. Fluent in English, broadcast his descriptions so easy to hear and understand. Went to only nearby ruins in Cozumel. Beach picturesque but water too rough to enter. Cerviche at restaurant excellent!
Revolutionary square not very scenic. Loved the old cars. Enjoyed the forest walk, waterfall and the restaurant on our tour. Theater troupe in Havana performing, raining so could not tour facility so not very interesting. entire area somewhat drab except where renovations have begun. Guide was informative, easy to understand.
Our chosen excursion was cancelled. Enjoyed seeing Hemingway house as had read about it. Had opportunity to get cigars and shop at market. We chose not to and went back to ship. REALLY enjoyed the artistic community with all the mosiac-ed buildings. Beautiful! Guide was very helpful and adjusted activity to meet desires of our group. Even agreed to mail postcards that had stamps, etc
Been on the Empress several times, I was actually surprised by all the seating areas but I don’t know how large your group was. We overnighted in Havana and it was amazing.
