Review summary

We chose this cruise because of the Havana port of call. Although the ship was small (it is the only RC ship allowed to dock in Havana) it was a very enjoyable cruise. My daughter got the refreshment package (free soft drinks) and was disappointed that every time she wanted a drink ... she had to go to the bar to get one. This ship does not have the pop machines like the larger ones do. Had she know this, she would have just stuck with the free lemonade drinks and not gone with that drink package. By far, the best part of this cruise was the experience of Cuba. It was very hot - so bring water and a hat if you plan on walking around the city.

I've been on many RC cruises. This was the smallest ship I have sailed on, but the food just didn't seem as exceptional as other cruises.

One of the smallest ships in the fleet, and one of the oldest. Ship was clean but didn't have all the sparkle of new ships. I did like the size for ease of getting to where you needed to go without too much congestion.

Ship tip

If you book a room that is near the lobby staircase...beware! That is where a lot of the entertainment happens (on all levels). It was pretty loud on Disco night and hard to sleep. The noise travels down the hallways.

We did the Aquaventure excursion to Atlantis - just me and my daughter! It was fun and would do it again. If you are traveling with a larger party, another family on the cruise did it a little different. They didn't do the ship's excursion. Instead, they booked a hotel room at Atlantis (which included 4 passes to the waterpark) and took a taxi. Since we didn't have to be back on the ship until 8:30...this was Brilliant!

HAVANA, CUBA

Well worth the trip. We used Cubaoutings for our excursion and had an amazing time in Havana. It was educational - our tour guide was amazing! We walked, learned about the history of Old Havana then cruised around in one of the infamous old cars.
