Overall great experience. For those cruisers who are used to large ships, don't be afraid to take this cruise. If you are people who like all the activities, excitement, casino and large spa - this is not for you. This ship gave us a quiet, wonderful cruise without all the commotion or large numbers of people
Embarkation

Quick, easy - we preregistered with the cruise ship on-line, so the only thing we needed to do was get our pictures taken. We spent about 20 minutes in the cruise port before boarding the ship. It was great.

Food and Dining

All the food was excellent. We were very pleased with all of our dining experiences. We did partake in the Chef's Table (worth every penny!) It was a great experience and plan to do it again.

Entertainment

Very good. Loved the theatre and the way it is set up with chairs and benches with tables. Very comfortable.
Children's Programs

We traveled with my sister and her husband who needed to bring their 9 year old grandson. He enjoyed Adventure Ocean very much and didn't want to leave. He reminded us that it was open again and would say not to come back for him "till the end"
Service and Staff

Every staff member we encountered provided superior service
Ship Quality

Honestly, I was worried about the age and the size of the ship. I have traveled on many different ships and 78,000 ton was the smallest I had been on. So this 48,000 ton ship had me worried about what the experience would be like. I have to say We Loved It!! Much more intimate, the service more available. We got to know people on the ship because their just wasn't so many people. There were always seats available at the pool deck and no real long lines. The ship was well maintained and just a joy.
Cabin / Stateroom

This was the first time we traveled in an oceanview room. We usually travel balcony but by the time we decided to go, the balconies were sold out. But I have to say we were very pleased with the large ocean view room. It was spacious and very welcoming. the large window offered a great amount of sunlight during the day and the ability to see the stars and moon at night while laying in our bed. The experience was great.
Ship tip
Because we usually book a balcony room, and couldn't get one this time as to the limited number, we brought a small fan with us so that we could feel air movement. We were are bit worried we would feel claustrophobic but that did not happen. There is actually quite bit of space in the room. The bed was comfy - overall great experience.
Yay! Going on empress in a few weeks! Have gone on 3 other royal ships that have been larger, but this time I wanted to try the smallest ship!! Looking forward to less crowds
