Review summary
We are glad we went to Cuba. It was educational for us. Everything went smooth, no problems. The Tropicana Club was our hi light of the trip. Key West was also nice., Everything there is business as usual. It was a great cruise. Empress of the Seas is a nice, comfortable and lovely ship.

It was simple and easy to get around the ship. From what I saw, everything was clean. They were always cleaning and polishing the common areas.
Cabin / Stateroom

This ship, Empress of the Seas, is, I think, the smallest of their fleet, 1800 passengers. The room is small and so is the bathroom but it was comfortable and always clean. We were not in the room a lot so it does not matter to us the size of the room.
Ship tip
It is a small ship, 1800 passengers, easy to get around. We loved it because it was small and had no problem finding places on the ship. The entertainment was excellent and so was the food. The dress code is all casual. Very comfortable.
Key West is up and running after the hurricanes. You would not know there was any damage. It is business as usual. We took the hop on/hop off trolley. Enjoyed it a lot.
We took 3 excursions in Havana. A 4 hr. bus tour of old and new Havana. The buses are clean, a/c and have toilets. The tour guides were excellent. Spoke English that you could understand. We went to the Tropicana club. That was the hi-light of our trip. Beautiful show, 2 hrs. We also took the 4 hr. walking tour. They were all educational and professional. Havana is time stood still.
