Would highly recommend this cruise to visit Cuba. We had presentations about arrival into Cuba and immigration. Everything went very smoothly. We we able to come and go from ship into Havana at our leisure.

Empress of the Seas is the smallest ship of Royal Caribbean. Still very nice. More casual and friendly. Easy to get around.

Cabin / Stateroom

This is a forward facing room, which we did like the view. But...there is a deck right outside all the forward facing cabins. When we booked, I asked if anyone has access to this deck, because I didn’t want people being able to look into our room. I was told no one can get to this deck, doors are locked. This was not the case, anyone can go out on this deck. In hindsight, it wasn’t too bad. We enjoyed being able to go out on this deck ourselves, and most of the people on the deck were from our area anyway. All a very friendly group.

We did the Panoramic Bus tour and the Old Havana walking tour. Enjoyed both very much. Guides spoke very good English and they were very knowledgeable.

Disembarkation

Did the self walk off with our luggage. Smoothest disembarkation ever.

How long did it take to get off the ship when you first docked in Cuba? I’m worried about having enough time to get to our first excursion.
