Review summary

Great trip. Well worth the visit to Havana. Definitely select a cruise that gives you an overnight. We went to Club Parisien in the Nacional Hotel. Great Vegas-style entertainment, with Cuban flair!

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Very smooth, line took a little long to get on the ship but nothing out of the ordinary

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Food was outstanding. Dined at chef's table last night and it was extraordinary. Great pairings of food and wine. Loved the decadent chocolate dessert and the chocolate martini!!!!!

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
Pool, hot tub, bingo, walking track. The ship is small in order to access Havana port, so dont expect lots of glitz and some of the extravagant entertainment and activites on the larger and more modern ships.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
Excellent nightly entertainment in the theater. Bands in the theater and the Boleros were terrific.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Room, restaurant and bar staff were exceptional!

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Ship was very clean (like new as it was refurbished).

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
As expected. Room enough for 2 people. Plenty of hanging space but not much storage/shelving space.

Ports of call

Tampa, Florida

4 out of 5
We visited Big Cat Rescue on our own. It was well worth the visit.

Key West, Florida

5 out of 5
We visited Truman White House and Hemingway House, both well worth the visit. First time in Key West, and it was fun walking around the town.

HAVANA, CUBA

5 out of 5
We did 2 excursions, one a walking tour of the old city which was excellent, the other a bus tour of the old city/central Havana. Not so special, but gave a good visual overview of the city.

Disembarkation

4 out of 5
US Customs did not really have enough gates open so it slowed things down. Not the fault of Royal Caribbean.
