Review summary

We enjoyed the route very much, it was our first princess cruise and probably the only one. so many other companies.... what attracted us to this one was the ports of call.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
The staff is very quick to check you in and bring you on board.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
Good variety, sensible portions in the main dining rooms, you had the option to order more if you wanted to.

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
pools and jacuzzi where OK, they had a nice basketball court and put put golf at the top back end of the ship. their gym area was comfortable.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
Nice evening entertainment, good musicians, dancers and singers overall.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
All the staff was amazing

Ship Quality

2 out of 5
Their Design is good, the cleanliness part where I rate them very low has to be in part due to the ship being older and needing ALOT of maintenance.

Cabin / Stateroom

3 out of 5
The Cabin size is very good, specially for a couple. They kept it very clean. the problem with our cabin was the noise that kept waking us up at 1, 3, 4 am 8out of the 10 nights.

Ship tip

great route, not so great vessel.

Ports of call

Ft. Lauderdale (Port Everglades), Florida

4 out of 5

Falmouth, Jamaica

4 out of 5
We opted for cruise excursion, Dunn river falls and bamboo beach club. We had nice time there. Port is very safe however if you are a female traveling by yourself .... highly recommend going out only with tour guides.

Cartagena, Colombia

5 out of 5
Cartagena was amazing, only downfall is way too little time at port.

Panama Canal (Cruise Into Canal)

5 out of 5
This was amazing, going thru the locks and learning about the history and seeing the activity and traffic from all the ships.... true engineering gem.

Cristobal, Panama Did not visit port

For security reasons, Princess determined no one was getting off the ship at this port.

Puerto Limon, Costa Rica

4 out of 5
highly recommend leaving the port with a tour guide, some men are way too aggressive with their approach to females. Cahuitas national park is a must do and will probably take you all day.

George Town, Grand Cayman

5 out of 5
Grand Cayman is always a gem, most beautiful and pristine beaches. so much to do!!

Disembarkation

1 out of 5
it was a mess not only inside the vessel but once you got outside and needed instructions to get back to parking garage was a total mess.

Don't understand why you are leaving Princess after such a positive review.

I love the older ships! I would rather go on them versus the newer mega ships. Too many people and you don't feel like you are on a cruise. Going on Emerald for 14 nights next month and can't wait. We love Princess!!

Thanks for the review. Glad that you are trying different lines but unless you plan to only cruise a few more times, why not sail Princess again since you liked it?

Thank you for the review. Just curious, what or where was the noise coming from?
