Review summary

This New England itinerary is not for everyone. It attracts an older crowd. The service was excellent and the food was really good. We, though, ate mainly in the buffet. The food was varied from day to day. Our balcony cabin was nice, with a super comfy bed and pillows. The ship is older, but very clean and well maintained.

Embarkation

4 out of 5
We had used the Princess Medallion app and pre-ordered our medallions, so, we were in the green lane for a speedy embarkation.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
The buffet was varied, with really good food. Prime rib, beef Wellington and the seafood cioppino were standouts. The beautifully decorated cakes at lunch on the last day were a real treat.

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5

Entertainment

4 out of 5
We thought all the shows were good, except for the magic, song and dance show.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Service really was excellent and made our cruise more enjoyable.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Ship was very clean. The buffet layout was easy to maneuver around, since it wasn't so spread out as some of the newer ship designs.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
We did miss having a sofa, but the bed was very comfortable.

Ship tip

The New England itinerary does attract an older crowd. It was great for us and we met a lot of nice and interesting people.

Ports of call

Boston, Massachusetts

We had been to Boston and toured it extensively in the past, so, we chose to stay on board.

Thanks for sharing. Cruises tend to attract older passengers for lots of reasons. Itinerary is only one. Length of cruise, time of year, and cost also have a lot to do with it since older cruisers, in general, tend to have more time, flexible schedules, and more disposable income.
