Review summary

Overall, it was a wonderful and very relaxing cruise. We were hesitant about going on a longer cruise, especially many days at sea, but were pleasantly surprised that we had plenty to do, and it was what we needed - anniversary vacation. In addition, we heard that it was 100% booked and Princess even offered us a good incentive if we could give up our cruise/cabin, but we decided not to take the offer. So, we were concerned it might be too crowded, but it did not feel crowded except for when attending some of the bigger shows. Those you have to go early like 20-30 minutes before; otherwise, you won't get good or any seats.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
For after the pandemic, it was good but not the same par as before the pandemic. The afternoon tea was not as good as it once was. Nice variety of food.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
Because we're at sea for many days, we were worried that there wouldn't be many activtities but we enjoyed learning how to play the ukelele, dance the Hawaiian dances, learn cultural facts/language about the Hawaiian culture/language/history, the many Latin dances from merengue to cha cha, and all the usual cruise activities. Plenty of pools to swim which were not crowded even though the cruise ship was 100% booked but it didn't feel like it.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
Great variety of entertainment - close or surpass Vegas shows! From comedians, small bands, dancers, acrobats, etc.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Very friendly, happy, helpful staff. Been on a number of cruises where the staff looked tired, worn out, but great staff all around!

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Even though it's an older boat, it's been refurbished and looks good and clean overall.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Got what we expected.

Ship tip

There are 3 formal nights so bring more formal wear and bring Hawaiian type clothing.

Nawiliwili, Kauai

Book an excursion whether through Princess right away, especially the canoeing one. All the excursions we wanted were booked right away and there was a long wait list. You can get an uber/taxi to get to where you want.

Ensenada, Mexico

Great review and information. Thank you for taking the time. We are leaving on this ship today and haven’t heard anything about being oversold. In fact, Princess sent us numerous emails to bid on upgraded cabins. So maybe it’s not full this cruise.
