Overall I enjoyed it, nothing is ever perfect! If you are after perfect, you can stay home and try to achieve it yourself! I do think that princess could come up with something for solo travellers, so that they are not having to pay double the money. There were a lot of solo travellers on this cruise.

Ship experiences
Food and Dining
4 out of 5
Good, however, I did notice a lot of "leftovers" being prepared for the buffet.
Speakeasy Cigar Lounge
4 out of 5
The staff here is truly amazing at their jobs. They keep it clean, the people are friendly, and service is great when needed.
Dining Room
3 out of 5
The wait staff is quite good, the desserts exceptional. However, the main meals were nothing more than so-so.
Calypso Cove
1 out of 5
Staff was rude, quality of products cheap, pricing extremely expensive.
Onboard Activities
3 out of 5
Duke and Mark are remarkable on the delivery of some of the activities, shows etc. However, I think a little more imagination would help.
Casino
4 out of 5
All in all, it was a casino and it was ok. The staff make it stand out! All of the staff here are very friendly. I do believe they however, need to visit the "tables" more for drinks etc. I also think a "live" poker table would come a long ways, as well as some smoking tables. Some people stopped spending money so they could just go for a smoke. Not good business.
Internet Cafe
3 out of 5
Not very helpful, their internet packages are a rip off. I prepaid for internet, was forced to upgrade it to connect, and still could only connect occasionally. In the end, what was supposed to be 120 minutes for 69.99 ended up being continuous for 130.00 and unreliable or consistent connection. Wasn't happy.
Beauty Salon
2 out of 5
Way too expensive! I get it, you are on a ship, but seriously?
Lotus Spa
1 out of 5
Way too expensive, insulting! Telling people they look like they are due for a facial, is not conducive to good business! They are like used car salesmen, they never let it go and are everywhere.
Entertainment
3 out of 5
Entertainment was good, although, the hawaiian couple doing the hawaii based entertainment, left a lot to be desired.
Children's Programs
All I noticed was kids coming and going out of the kids group rooms, being allowed to make a lot of noise and interference with people trying to get on elevators or walk through the area.
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
On the whole, the staff was amazing! Kiran, a waiter/attendant in the casino and speakeasy room, was truly remarkable. He remembered everyones name, what they liked, and was always warm and welcoming! He should definitely be promoted!
Ship Quality
3 out of 5
Parts of the Emerald need some loving :( the floor in the hallway on floor 11 starboard side, has loose boards and gives you the feeling it is going to collapse :( It was kept clean mostly. I do think they need to make more concessions to the smoking group, as it seemed like they were treating as second class citizens, even though I am sure they paid the same rate as everyone else. I did hear a lot of complaints about that. Not enough smoking areas, smoking areas basically segregated away from anyone and anything on board. No close amenities.
Cabin / Stateroom

Zenya kept our room clean enough. The accommodations were comfortable enough, but a place to sit besides beds would be nice too. I just think it could be better arranged.
Ship tip
be ready for kids under foot, as they are not supervised properly in the kids clubs. A lot of passengers were very much seniors, which is fine, however, the extreme on the sides of mobility issues, had a lot of people concerned in the event that anything nasty happen.
Really enjoyed Lahaina, Maui. Clean, lovely island, friendly people. However the tenders to the island and back left a lot to be desired! Very long waiting lines, tenders were very dirty. Coming back to the ship was the same, very long line ups.
Hilo was ok, other than the port is mostly commercial and not very pretty to look at. The island is pretty, the time here was again very short. However, at least no tenders to deal with
We did the Pearl Harbor Tour, which was awesome. Our tour guide was an idiot, with passengers able to answer questions better than he did. However, the rest of Honolulu, is just a regular dirty city. Nothing great or fabulous here, and easy to forget you were in such a beautiful place as Hawaii. The people here were also that of the city, very rude.
This was by far my favorite. I did the helicopter tour with sunshine helicopters. It was gorgeous, not hurried, and very informative! The island itself is gorgeous, clean (mostly), and the people are very friendly and polite. Absolutely loved Kauai, would go there again!
We got to go to a mexican market where they sold their wares. As usual, the same products with every vendor. We also got to see the blow hole here, it was truly remarkable! Unfortunately, the area was dirty with a lot of garbage everywhere :( a beautiful landscape but a volunteer group to clean it up, would definitely help!
