Review summary

This was a difficult Cruise for me as it was my first cruise since my husband passed away. Each night in the Michelangelo dining room the hostess would say, “only three?“ or “Just 3 tonight?” I know I am overly sensitive right now but that really broke my heart. Please advise your staff not to use “just or only” as that implies someone is missing. I spoke with the maître d’ about it on night four. He was very empathetic and said he would make sure it didn’t happen on night five. On night five the host appropriately asked, “How many?” We were about to be escorted upstairs when the hostess said she would seat us. She brought us to a 6 top table. As we were sitting down she said to the server, “There are only three of them.” Evidently she didn’t get it.

Food and Dining

Very disappointed that there was no lobster night. I also always look forward to High Tea which never happened. Also, my family loves the Princess peanut butter cookies and they were unavailable this trip.

Onboard Activities

I would love to see more afternoon activities. I’m not a morning person, after staying late in the casino. Too many events happen between 5:00 and 9:00 pm which conflicts with dinner and the shows.

Marlon Bautista In the Michelangelo dining room was extremely helpful. The menu offered the fettuccine in the Parmisan bowl; we had been told it was no longer available. Marlon made it happen for us!

As a Platinum guest, we waited in the Explorers lounge. Our group was never called. We finally disembarked when they announced everyone could go.

Sorry for your loss.

I wondered about the lack of lobster night as well. Maybe they don't do them on the shorter cruises? It would be nice if Princess supplied the nightly menus in advance. Then we would have a better idea if we wanted to go to a specialty restaurant or not. Hard to make plans earlier than that morning when you never know what will be served later.

Sorry to hear that. It must have been a very difficult cruise for you but like they say only time will heal. Take care.
