Review summary

If possible I would give it a 2.5.  The good is the boat is beautiful.  I am not sure why they are dry docking. Plenty of places to sit and relax, read, have a drink, meet friends, etc.  We have been on many many cruises and have never encountered such unhappy crew.  While service was adequate most of the time the saying "service with a smile" was foreign to the crew.   We tried to engage with them like we have on other cruises but impossible.  If that was the only problem but they walked around and cut off guests. One night at dinner the one server was so rude and condescending. We had anytime dining so we didn't have the same person each night.  We were friendly and having fun and smiling.  Part of what makes cruising fun and unique is the personal experience you have with crew making you feel special. This whole idea was lost on them. I hope with the refurbish it comes with new attitudes of crew.

What did you think of the anytime dining? We are going January 29 and this will be our first time trying it.

We were just on the Emerald for 2 weeks and had the opposite experience except for one server. Everyone else was fabulous.
