Review summary

We've sailed the Caribbean, the Bahamas, Hawaii, but this 7-day Disney cruise to Alaska is our all time favorite so far. We will definitely be booking this cruise again. I heard there is a 10-day Alaskan cruise coming up. Count me in!

This was the fastest and easiest we embarked out of the 4 Disney cruises we've taken.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
No need to book a "specialty" dinner, the 3 dining rooms are already special.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
There is plenty of fun things to do onboard for adults.

Very good!

Children's Programs

While we are now empty nesters, Disney is famous (obviously) for entertaining your kids to a point where they are disappointed when you collect them at the end of the day.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
No other cruise line employs as professional a crew as Disney Cast Members. Disney is routinely number 1 for a reason.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Disney quality all the way.

Cabin / Stateroom

I think the thoughtful layout with the split bathrooms is the best design in the cruise business. The private balcony is a must-have.

Ship tip

I'm 6'5" and do not fit well in small cuise room showers. Just use the spa showers!

Ports of call

Vancouver (Canada Place), British Columbia

We arrived early enough to spend a full day touring Vancouver. You must see this city!

Cruise Endicott Arm, Alaska

There was a change in the itinerary to see a glacier. It was a highlight of the trip.

Skagway, Alaska

We enjoyed the quaintness of this small mining town. We did the 4 wheeler excursion that was so fun and produced amazing scenery pictures.

Juneau, Alaska

We did the whale watching tour. Everyone involved was top notch...except the whales didn't cooperate too much. Only saw a couple.

Ketchikan, Alaska

Best city (micro-brews!) of the bunch. We did an excursion where we got to drive out own zodiac boats and saw bald eagles snatching fish on the wing, seals, etc.

Just like the embarkation, the disembarkation was equally speedy and easy.
