Review summary

This was our first cruise and we loved it. Alaska & Disney Met all my expectations & beyond. We had beautiful weather.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Very organized. Canada place is very busy. We were dropped by a taxi. They take your luggage and you do not see again till access to your stateroom. The process of customs & checking in with DCL went very smooth. I would not get there super early. Arrive when you are supposed to.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Was very happy with the quality & quantity of our food at the main dining rooms. Cabanas was a little chaotic at times but plenty of variety. Palo was outstanding! We were able to do both brunch & dinner. If I had to choose I’d do brunch as first choice.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
Our activities on the ship were limited because we were either enjoying the Alaska scenery, the wildlife or very tired from our port activities. We played Bongo once. Did a few crafts and attended a few talks. All was well run & enjoyable. We loved our bourbon tasting.

Ship tip

Seriously consider the late dining for the Alaska Cruise. Too much to do during the day while in ports.

Ports of call

Vancouver (Canada Place), British Columbia

5 out of 5
If you can spend time before or after Bancouver is worth exploring.

Skagway, Alaska

3 out of 5
Least favorite port. If no excursion planned, not much to the little town.

Juneau, Alaska

4 out of 5
Lots to do. Great restaurants. Saw lots of wildlife.

Ketchikan, Alaska

Plenty to do whether you plan an excursion or not.
