Ship experiences

Food and Dining

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
We had a great time with the activities team - we took part in the trivia, games, movies, live shows and character experiences.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
The stage shows were excellent, the entertainers were awesome. We laughed at the comedians and were amazed by the magician. The music and dancing were all good and the vocalists were very talented.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
We had a great service experience from the room steward, Nicole and the wait staff in the dining room - Ora and Hellen. The activities crew - especially Samantha, Guy and Tisa - were so much fun. We had an issue with a lost passport and Ian and Dilliam (sp) were very helpful. The service desk team, Danielle and others were also very considerate and helpful.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
There were people everywhere to assist with keeping the ship clean and neat. From the pool area to the theatre and the lounges, everyone kept dished cleared and everything clean.

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
The room accommodated three people comfortably. The verandah was somewhat enclosed and did provide a large open-air porthole opening to see out. It did not offer the convenience of the full balcony but was better than no balcony.

Ship tip

Beverages are available through dispensing machines; however bottled water is not included unless you buy the beverage package. Disney was experimenting with SMS messaging without the internet package so we were able to stay in touch with those at home. This was very nice.

Ports of call

Civitavecchia (Rome), Italy

We did not have enough time to explore Rome and our hotel (Waldorf Astoria) was beautiful, but not close to the city. The airport to hotel was a $75 fare (however, we were duped by the cab driver). We did Disney transfers to the ship from the hotel - and ship to airport - and that was costly but coordinated well.

Salerno (Naples), Italy

5 out of 5
We went on a full day excursion and saw Salerno and Pompeii. The architecture is beautiful and Pompeii is amazing. We had pizza at a local restaurant - and it was very good.

La Spezia (Cinque Terre), Italy

5 out of 5
We took the tour to see the leaning tower in Pisa. We spent a couple hours touring the church, gardens and crypts as well as the tower.

Villefranche-Sur-Mer, France

5 out of 5
We took the tour to Monaco and Monte Carlo - it was very good and we had a guide that told us the history and was very informative. We were not able to get in the large casino as they do not open for gambling until 2PM but we did go to the smaller casino and enjoyed that.

Barcelona, Spain

We did the excursion to the beach at Sitges. It was beautiful. Our guide helped us see some of the sites there and then we had time to play at the beach and get our lunch at a local eatery.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
We took our luggage ourself so the disembark process went quickly. The Disney bus to the airport was nice and convenient. It is about an hour drive to the airport and the airport is large and not the easiest to navigate. Definitely one of the best disembarkation processes I've experienced.
