Review summary

This was my fourth Disney Cruise/ I have been on the Wish and the Dream twice. We have also cruised on Carnival ships which fares are cheaper than Disney and the main thing in my opinion that is better on Carnival in addition to their lower price of the cruise is that Guy's Burgers on the Carnival ships are superior to the burgers on the Disney ships. Other than that I feel the Disney ships are the best overall compared to other cruise lines. If you are a fan of Disney, you need to cruise on a Disney ship at least one time.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
We were able to board ahead of our scheduled board time.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
Overall the food was good. The hamburger/fries was ok but I have had better on other cruise line ships.

Animator's Palate

5 out of 5

Crush the turtle was ok and is also on the Dream. The best and cool show is the Animation Magic Show with Mickey Mouse. Everyone are able to make a drawing before dinner and watch it come to life later during the show.

The Tube Nightclub

5 out of 5

The tube has a variety of entertainment including; trivia, ventriloquist, karaoke, and team competitions.

D Lounge

5 out of 5

The D Lounge was a great venue for trivia and bingo. Plenty of room for the events.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
I was able to ride the Aqua Duck 5 times in a row. It was at Castaway Cay and there were no lines. Lots of trivia sessions which were fun.

AquaDuck

5 out of 5

I enjoyed the Aqua Duck but I did not care for trying to climb out at the end. This is one thing that is better in the Disney Wish. The Aqua Mouse has a conveyor platform at the end and makes is easier to get off of the ride.

Jogging Track

5 out of 5

It completely goes around the ship on Deck 4. 2.5 laps equal 1 mile.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
The deck shows were fun and it looks everyone enjoyed it. The shows in the Walt Disney Theater were excellent and you can watch them in the staterooms too. There was way to many seats being saved such as saving 10 seats in a row. They were announcing people not to do it but was not enforcing it. The people knew it wasn't being enforced too.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Very friendly Our dinner servers knew our names eve when we saw each other on other parts of the ship such as Cabanas.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Very clean Messes were cleaned up almost immediately.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
The cabin was in great shape. The steward even organized items on the desk and side tables every day.

Ship tip

Even with a sold out ship, there are plenty of areas that were not crowded.

Ports of call

Port Canaveral, Florida

5 out of 5

Tortola, British Virgin Islands

5 out of 5
Did the 4 hour Jeep tour and we were able to drive our Jeeps. It was a fun and interesting experience especially driving on the left side of the road.

Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas

5 out of 5
We went to the stores close to the ship.

Castaway Cay (Disney Private Island)

3 out of 5
It was a steady rain most of the day and there was not many places to be out of the rain. The umbrellas leaked, evidently their use is blocking the sun, not the rain. I did not stay long and went back to the ship.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
Quick and without issues.

Thanks for your review. Is the Disney cabin bigger than a Carnival cabin?
