Review summary

Many lines, many people, get everywhere 30 mins before. Long days everything lasts until 12am, so sleep was hard to get because breakfast stops around 10-11. It was just so rapid fire, not relaxing, basically it's like living a week at disney world- which isn't a bad thing, but it's more hectic than your typical cruise. Even the days at sea, it was still not as relaxing as I'd like but it's just such a worth it experience especially for a disney fan. I was happy even with the little hiccups, it's worth it, but I probably won't go back because it is so expensive and I got a little sea sick - thank god for the wristbands I bought before the trip or I wouldn't have been able to enjoy the cruise as much as i did.

Embarkation

It was crowded, people leaving the ships at the same time people gettting on. Little confusing.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
All food was excellent, cabanas buffet was hit or miss so we only ate there 2 times - terrible parfait- tasted sour, terrible coffee, so very crowded.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
Aqua Duck was great but had a 30 min line every time- all day long even at port. Everything had a line, bathroom, movies, shows, getting in line for bracelet charms, photos for characters, etc. I'm so done with lines, I thought they would be better here but it's basically disney world on a boat. Lines, lines, lines. Pin trading was only in one store and it's the mystery type, the kids loved it. Also forced us to buy things, but none we regretted getting.

Entertainment

4 out of 5
Excellent shows if you love disney but my husband that didn't grow up with disney thought they were just very good shows. But I was impressed with the special effects and the front gets all the "snow" and confetti so it's always a crazy line to get in about 30 mins before you have to start lining up to a show to get the front seating. Also on the last show they did called wish- Disney ruined the magic - Elsa and Anna were recognizable by a kid behind me as now aurora and cinderella - she was screaming out that's not the real cinderella and sleeping beauty, that's elsa and anna! - I felt really bad about this because it just killed the magic for her and for me. Huge disappointment there. Also wished all the characters from this show came out to the see ya real soon party - we never saw jasmine- a photo with her would have been everything. Never saw peter pan- strange why these characters would only come out for the show and not as a photo opportunity at least for that day only.

Children's Programs

4 out of 5
The kids liked it, but wasn't a great experience for them, I think they expected more character visits but there was none, only thor and doctor strange but it was always around 5-5:30 which is their dinner time so it never worked out. They eventually didn't want to be there anymore. I thought it would be more magical that it was.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
waiters, stewards were all excellent, they only thing lacking was guest services, I made a noise complaint that never got a resolution, then I had a question about tipping that caused me to be more confused than before I asked it. Oceaneers club staff in front very unfriendly, but they also look stressed out so I'll give them that much. Otherwise everyone else are excellent above and beyond.

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
Well maintained ship, clean, a little dated- not modern but very beautiful ship overall.

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
Veranda was a good call, it's great to sit out there in the morning and just look into the ocean and feel the breeze, so quiet and relaxing. The bunk beds - I thought it would be more magical- stars don't light up like I thought. Bed was comfy, clean- but not spotless, blonde hair all over the chair for 2 days and I'm a brunette. We all smashed our kneecaps daily on the large bed corner, wish they put a silicone bumper on it or something. It was small yet had space for everything. Under bed fit all 4 our large size luggage bags.

Ship tip

Get ready to stand in line for everything and get to everything 30min early.

Ports of call

Port Canaveral, Florida

4 out of 5
it's where the ship docked, we only stayed overnight at a hotel. It was a good starting point.

Cozumel, Mexico

4 out of 5
We bought some beer to take back on the ship on this port (7/11), walked around, seemed okay, a lot of police presence.

George Town, Grand Cayman

4 out of 5
Walked around, took pics here, was nice to see the banks and the city area.

Falmouth, Jamaica

5 out of 5
Loved the reggae music, small section for shopping and amazing but expensive food and drink. 20.00 for a jerk chicken with rice and peas and slaw. But it was delicious and filling.

Castaway Cay (Disney Private Island)

4 out of 5
I really loved this island, we did the aqua trikes and it was fun, so sun tanned, wished it had a more cooler section like maybe misting fans. The sun was strong and the wind was nonexistent.

Disembarkation

4 out of 5
even though we waited until 10:30am to leave the boat, it was still a busy line to customs - we thought we were smart waiting until most of the people got off the boat but its a line no matter what.
