We definitely booked another Disney cruise and thought between the service, cleanliness, and activities that Disney does it best. We are looking forward to more cruises with our entire family and cannot wait till our next one!
Embarkation
5 out of 5
Embarkation process was smooth, not confusing and quick. Disney had this very well organized and we were impressed with this being our first Disney Cruise. We were able to check in and board immediately.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
5 out of 5
The three main dining spaces were excellent - our favorite being Animators Palate. We thought the food was good and loved that the menu changed every singe night. Cabanas buffet was also pretty good (although not as good as the restaurant food) and we enjoyed the free room service. We also dined and Palo and Remy - both adult only restaurants. We loved both and think that we will definitely do Palo again and Remy every once in a while. Remy was VERY nice but for the price of Palo vs Remy, we are able to continue to dine at Palo every cruise.
Onboard Activities
5 out of 5
We enjoyed the Quiet Cove area for the adults only and the pool. We also rode the Aqua Duck and had a blast :)
Entertainment
5 out of 5
We were surprised with how many adult activities/entertainment Disney had to offer throughout the cruise. We enjoyed Europa/the bar district and thought a lot of the entertainment shows, alcohol tastings, and trivia were so much fun (all adult only). We did have port adventures scheduled on port days, so I am not sure how many adult activities they have on board during the excursions but we were pleasantly surprised with the amount of opportunities us adults had. We also went to the Aladdin show and both of us loved it. We grew up watching the movie so this was a show we both intended on seeing. We did not see Wishes or Believe (I think that was the name?) but did attend some smaller shows such as the adult comedy and adult hypnotist show, which we enjoyed. And lastly, we were able to see the new Star Wars on board a day early for FREE, so that was a plus!
Children's Programs
Adults Only
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
Loved all of the service we received. This was one of the highlights of our entire vacation and by the end of the cruise, we were sad to say goodbye because we felt like we got to know everyone who helped us, including our wait staff, room steward, and even the cruise director.
Ship Quality
5 out of 5
Our room was spotless and loved that our steward came in twice a day to keep things up (and give us plenty of chocolate).
Cabin / Stateroom
5 out of 5
We enjoyed this cabin very much. 5190 was at the aft of the ship and across from the laundry room. We really didn't hear much commotion at all and the evenings when were expecting the laundry room to be full (like formal night) it wasn't. We had a slightly over-sized balcony with white walls all around, so it was definitely private. Room 5190 and 5192 are connecting so this would also be a great area if you were traveling with multiple families.
Ship tip
We were told that if you book another cruise or put a "placeholder" on another cruise within 2 years while you are on the ship, that you will receive 10% off and up to $200 toward your stateroom. We did book another cruise while on board to take advantage of this deal. Also, if you're sailing during a Disney movie release/premiere they will most likely show it on board. We were able to see the new Star Wars a day early.
We enjoyed our excursion at Cozumel, which was "The Secret River" experience. We had an amazing time and loved it! Definitely would recommend this to anyone!
We enjoyed this port but wished the weather was a bit more cooperative. We rode horses in the ocean then hiked up Dunns River Falls for our excursion. Both activities were fun but we just thought both were going to be slightly different than what we experienced. Nothing negative to say but not as "wow" factor as we had thought.
Did not think this would be one of our favorites but we loved this island. We went parasailing and snorkeling, then laid back at Serenity Bay (the adult only beach). Only downside was that the water depth at Serenity Bay was too shallow to snorkel, so we went to the Family Beach where there was a huge area for everyone to snorkel.
Loved that they offered us one last sit down dining experience and had a pretty good breakfast. We were not confused with the disembarkation process and were able to eat, gather our belongings and get a shuttle to the airport in no time. One great feature that we did was that we paid extra for airport transportation and also let Disney take our two checked luggage bags from us the night before; Disney then checked our luggage for us and we did not see our luggage until we arrived at our final destination (back home). This was SO helpful and they also checked us in and printed our boarding passes so all we had to do when we arrived at the airport was go through security. Definitely worth it!
