I WILL NEVER DO A DISNEY CRUISE AGAIN. If you are a hardcore disney fan and can stand disney movies 24/7 then you would probably enjoy this cruise line. It was the worst cruise I have ever been on. Boring........

It was swift thanks to online check in
Ship experiences
Food and Dining

not too much variety, the pizza was not of good quality. the buffet was the same thing not much to choose from. Dinner options are all sit down, they do not offer a buffet except for maybe one night. the overall food quality was disappointing.
Onboard Activities

Picture a kids cruise because thats what it is. For adults there are limited activities. Any activity they have they seem to have zoomed thru it. Very short amount of time. If you want to do karaoke you better sign up fast because once its full your done and its mostly the same people on the mic so it gets lame.
Entertainment

For being disney the shows were pretty lame and a high school talent show probably would have stumped it. The very 1st show we could not believe was Disney. When they say their shows are better than broadway, maybe in ecuador.
Children's Programs

My 11 yr. old daughter liked the freedom but she said the staff did mostly what the kids wanted and I guess she liked that. My 8 yr. old boy stayed only because we forced him so me and mommy could get some alone time otherwise he spent most of the time with us.
Service and Staff

The only one i could say really did a fantastic job was our room steward. Our dining experience was poor. We would get entrees we did not order. 1 time i asked for a miller lite and they brought me a bud. The other family at our table ordered white wine and they brought them red. They had No attention to detail and service and it seems they were always going 100 MPH. Horrible
Ship Quality

The decor was ok I've seen better and way nicer in previous lines like RCL and carnival. Cleanliness no complaints the ship was very clean. The only thing I found annoying was they take germophobia to another level. They have hand sanitizer everywhere which is good but they always have someone standing at the entrances to the buffet almost forcing you to wash your hands as you enter making you feel like if you don't they'll get you in trouble.
Cabin / Stateroom

Tight and cluttered with little room to walk and too small for a family of 4, in my opinion.
Ship tip
The amount of money they charge is astronomical for what you get. You'll pay less and get more on another cruise. Don't waste your money.
we did the swim with the dolphins. it was ok but don't take any cameras because the vendor takes all the pictures and video and so your forced to buy the media because it will be the only memory you would have of it. the price was out of hand, I felt like someone stole my wallet.
make sure you book the stingray city sandbar and don't make the mistake my wife made by booking the original stingray city location, thats where we ended up. It was 15' ft. deep, in choppy seas and we saw the same 3 stingrays who had no interest interacting with us. Everyone was back on the boat in 15 mins. after being in the rough sea. Not recommended for smaller children. When i attempted to get my money back we were instead given tickets to their stingray habitat at castaway cay where my wife got bit by an aggressive fish in an attempt to feed a stingray.
We booked dunns river falls. Don't do it from falmouth tooooo far. By the time we left the ship it took 3 hrs. by the time we started climbing the falls and then of course we had to zoom up the falls skipping plenty of beautiful video and pic opps. It was a poorly run tour.
next to the dolphin encounter this is probably the best stop on the whole cruise. more options for everyone with even a private beach for adults only. the food was ok too.
We took a family vaca on Disney Fantasy 2012 (Inaugural year), 2013 & 2014! Our family had a wonderful time! So many things to do, experience a beautiful ship and amazing Ports of Call. We expected everything Disney because it is a Disney ship.
While it is pricey, it is well worth it. Compared to other cruise lines we’ve been on, the sodas are no charge and free flowing. We thought the service provided and the food choices were awesome. The nightly show’s were so incredible and we looked forward to them ever night. The entertainment staff was beyond amazing, so full of energy and made sure you had a great time!
We believe DCL is everything that Walt Disney envisioned~Kuddos to DCL for keeping the adage Dreams and Wishes Do Come True💫
The embarkation and disembarking were easy and went smoothly.
I have to say I can’t stand Disney world I was drug off there with my wife and stepson and have to say even when I have grandkids I will never go back!! However I will continue to cruise Disney as long as the good lord allows my pocket book to do so!!
I have six months to go before I set sail on the Disney Fantasy. I will definitely report my findings upon my return. However, as a 7 time veteran of Walt Disney World, I’m pretty sure I’ll love it!!!!
I take offense at the term “suckers”. If you were not pleased with the experience, fine. But, many people have sailed on Disney cruises and enjoyed themselves. Please refrain from name calling. It’s just not nice. That’s my 2 cents worth!
Thanks for the review. After being on the similar cruise on the same ship 4 years ago I an agree with some of the sentiments said and the fact that some kids really dont take to the Oceaneer kids clubs (under 13s) which can be a little too structured and restrictive. I think its important to point out that some people may get overloaded with Disney on these cruises, I can fully understand how that may happen. For some a Disney Cruise not for them, I think this review is valuable. Its a lot of money for a Disney Cruise and yes the food and stage shows for non-Disney fans don't make up for the cost. For other non-Disney fans considering a Disney Cruise, yes you are going to be exposed to a lot of Disney everywhere if that's likely to annoy you stay away, don't even consider a Disney Cruise. If you can filter it out, a Disney Cruise can be a fantastic option however. For the under 12s the Oceaneer clubs may not work out, but you will be amazed at the family level activities you can undertake especially in the D lounge. The Fantasy with a 10 year old was a unique experience for us, as the reviewer experienced, he did not take well to the Oceaneer Kids clubs, but we found the family activities amazing. Subsequent cruises with a now older child was quite different and he simply wanted to be in Edge or with his new friends all the time, less family fun more adult fun!
Why bash the person they are entitled to give a review not every experience is gonna be good and I have over 30 cruises I just don't list them all so you cant say if a person has zero cruises that there fake they took time to write about it so give them a break
Are you sure you actually went on this cruise?
Everything you are saying makes absolutely no sense.
You probably belong on the “value” cruiseline Carnival.
I have read many post about Disney crusies are not for certain people but I have to admit this is the first I read that a person disliked Disney cruise because it was Disney!!! I agree with others fake reveiw
