Review summary
Overall the experience was great for our family. The service, particularly our server and asst. server exceeded already high expectations. That said, it is tough to swallow paying more for a room upgrade and then having to listen to deck chairs being moved from 10-12pm and 4-6 am every day of the cruise. Th extra balcony was nice, but I would have picked a regular room for less money on a lower deck had I known that the sound insulation was lacking on 10. Finally, on an 8 day cruise, we had less than 30 hours of port time. St. Thomas had to be boarded by 4:30pm, and pirate night was in st. Martin instead of an at sea day so we had to be back on the boat for those festivities. I would do another Disney cruise, but not this itinerary.

I enjoyed reading that overall your cruise was great! Nice to know that you enjoyed the food and service. Thanks for posting.
Insulation does seem to be a problem on ships. I have experienced persistent early morning noise on a recent cruise. At the Q & A session with senior officers, so many of us complained about it that they stopped the moving of deck chairs. The officers said that they were moving them early in the morning so as not to inconvenience early morning walkers. I guess that it was alright to inconvenience all the rest of us on the lower deck. Does this make sense?
