Review summary

Great luxury mini cruise would recommend to all ages. Adult areas very well maintained and spacious with your pick of comfortable loungers and deck chairs. Food excellent especially the main courses. The restaurants are so good. Animation my favourite. Shows are great and would see again. If you want to relax in quiet you could. If you wanted to do the characters and the pirate stuff you could and que for the pleasure. Perfect short cruise. Next time hopefully in the Caribbean. Fitted in with what you wanted to do at your own pace. You can buy lots of stuff as well if you want

Embarkation

Very easy . We were early but not problem going through the boarding process. Nice touch announcing the family and being clapped aboard

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Main courses in evening were amazing. Buffet could be hectic but quality of food excellent. Spider crabs for lunch. Plenty of drink stations. Coffee bearable. Alcoholic drinks were pricey I had a badly poured can of lager $10. We went with the cocktail of the day which was well made and reasonably priced. Service was good and drinks freshly prepared and well made and presented. Didn’t do any specialty restaurants

Animator's Palate

5 out of 5

Great interaction with the screen. Crusher very funny trying to speak Welsh. Not quite so good with the pirate theme. The drawings are repeated. Expected Mr Smee would talk to you or play bits of Peter Pan

Cove Cafe

4 out of 5

Perfect place for a coffee and snack . Magazines to read. Cakes are very good and the bar outside

Onboard Activities

Slide was good. Did some very exacting quizzes pretty badly. Adult pool was only one you could swim if. If two strokes from one side to the other can be called swimming. Pools were heating and well maintained. Lots of towels, people drying the surrounding walk ways. Walked through the gym . Looked good. Didn’t do any spar stuff. We played mini golf table football. Walked around deck 4. Good to walk off the food we ate

Water Slide

4 out of 5

20 minute wait. Up and down only get a little wet. Breaks up the afternoon with slide around the ship

Entertainment

5 out of 5
Shows were amazing. Beauty and the Beast better than I had seen in a theatre on land. The others were so well performed. The singing and dancing with effects were excellent. Good music, brilliant violin player, characters were friendly and treated our daughter very well. Some long waits at time

Walt Disney Theatre

5 out of 5

Amazing shows. Has a feel of an old music hall. Very comfortable spacious seats. Good viewing f

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Ravi was very helpful and informative. Room steward did a good towel animal. Room was spotless and we can be messy. All ships personnel were friendly and helpful

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Great lay out for the adult upper decks. Everything very clean and well maintained. Bar area around the Cove a favourite early evening. Sometimes the atrium area was too crowded. Entering and exiting from that area with everything else going on not the best design. Also some of the adult areas with passageways around the night club and pink room a waste of good space and confusing to follow. Not fully utilised

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
Inside cabin . Comfy big bed. Pull out bed comfy. Small tv fridge. Three wardrobes will safe. Bathroom a bit small. Large mirror on inside of the door not flattering. Small bath with shower. Cramped if tall. Very good soaps shampoos etc. Port hole image quite fun at times. Could do with extra charging points. Comfy kept very clean. We weren’t in there much

Ship tip

Not a big ship. So use the lifts at the ends away from the atrium to get around. Cinderella and Tiana are around after breakfast.

Ports of call

Southampton (London), England
