Review summary

If you’re looking for a super clean cruise with comfortable rooms, tasty food, tons of activities for kids and a phenomenal spa, the Disney Dream is your ship! If you’re like us and you crave a little adult fun after the kids pass out from an exciting day, you might be a little disappointed in the adult entertainment options. Overall, we truly enjoyed our cruise and would book again!

Embarkation

5 out of 5
This was the easiest embarkation process we have ever experienced! No waits, the process was fairly automated from our phones and we basically just walked right on!

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
Food was pretty tasty! Some items had more flavors than other, but, overall we really enjoyed the food.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
The family absolutely loved the Beauty and the Beast show, the water slides were a blast and the spa was one of the best I have ever been to. The massage, facial and rainforest were ammmazzzing. If the Disney spa was in my hometown, I would book a membership and live there everyday!

Entertainment

3 out of 5
For kids, amazing! For adults, there could be more. A Disney cruise should be all about the kids, right? Of course. But, once the little ones are asleep, daddy needs a break. There weren’t very many options for adults like on other cruises. No clubs, dancing, no late night adult comedy. There was one silent dance party and one bar that had okay music but nothing current.

Children's Programs

5 out of 5
The kids clubs are perfect to get a break from kids. The staff was super friendly and our 4 year old loved the activities.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Can’t speak highly enough about the staff. In true Disney fashion, everything is about the guest. Our server took time to get to know us and even did magic tricks for our family. Everyone was super friendly!

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
By far the cleanest ship I’ve ever been on. We’ve travelled on 7ish cruises and we were blown away by the cleanliness. The design allows the ship to be east to navigate, too.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
We were really impressed with the cabin. The two bathroom design should be on every ship! One room with a sink and shower and another with a sink and toilet. Perfect! The sofa turned into a bed with just an easy pull and the bed was very comfortable. The TV swiveled and the balcony was spacious.

Ship tip

Our room was right by the elevator and we were worried it would be noisy. Not at all! Book by the elevator for quick and easy access to all floors.

Ports of call

Miami, Florida

George Town, Grand Cayman

Save money on the 7mile excursion and just take a taxi to the beach.

Castaway Cay (Disney Private Island)

5 out of 5
If they built a resort at Castaway Cay, we would stay for weeks!

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
Easy! Just like embarkation, it was super fast and simple.
