Communication not clear for passengers (in terms of restrictions to unload the ship)
Limiting experience (no sail away activity, repeated shows, no sports channel options)
Non accommodating guest service staff (not helpful, and did not file my complaint)
I totally agree with requiring adults to be fully vaccinated and tested (twice) before boarding, but that should ease social distancing and mask requirements when boarding the ship.
I DONT RECOMMEND taking the Disney Cruise until Covid restrictions ease on the boat

Ship experiences
Food and Dining
4 out of 5
Good options, and quality of food.
Onboard Activities
1 out of 5
I enlisted to a Fitness Class listed as an activity, and when I got to the activity, it had to be cancelled as
Entertainment
1 out of 5
Only one live show that repeated !
Tried to watch the Formula 1 race on the ship that was transmitted in ESPN. I even went down to the Sports Bar, where I encountered other F1 fans. Although Disney owns ESPN, there were only 2 options of Sports Channel which is unbelievable and extremely disappointing.
Children's Programs
2 out of 5
Extremely limited on capacity, and had trouble registering my son.
No sail away party was performed, and photos with characters are performed with the characters standing 10feet away which I find totally ridiculous as they are wearing a costume and face protection.
Service and Staff
4 out of 5
Dinning and Room Service Staff were impecable.
Guest Services and Port Authority personal (Nelso from staff) were extremely rude and not accommodating.

Ship tip
Improve communicating with passengers with clarity in terms of activities. My 8 year old son was NOT vaccinated and Disney implemented a policy of restricting unvaccinated passengers to unload the ship. The Bahamian authorities allow underage ship cruise passengers to unload the ship as long as they provide a negative PCR test proof done 3 days before the arrival date at Bahamas. Eventhough we had complied with local Bahamian authorities and were cleared to enter the port, the Disney authorities didnt allow our kid to unload the ship. This unilateral Disney policy should be clearly stated before purchasing the trip, as we would have purchase the cruise if this information was clearly stated. Very dissappointing.
I had planned my own excursion in the Bahamas, but was denied to unload the ship due to Disney unilateral policies. I had successfully obtained a Bahamas health visa and had authorization to unload as I complied with the required PCR test for my unvaccinated children. When I tried to unload the ship, we were denied by Disney personnel. Then I unloaded the ship by myself and went into the Bahamian port authority office to understand the restriction, and they coincided that my son was ok to enter the Bahamas and it was a Disney policy issue. This ruined our trip and we had sailed with the intention to spend the day at the Atlantis, and had prepaid the fees to be able to do so.
Food was poor and activities limited
While playing playing at the beach with my son I was told by a Disney employee that I had to move over to another area as I was utilizing an emergency exit. Totally unacceptable as there were other people utilizing the same area and nobody else was given the same notice.
After I tried to unload the ship, I was notified I had to get back on board as I had "issues". I was notified that I had issues with my credit card on file. I could have been previously notified in order to solve this issue the night before.
Sorry to hear your cruise wasn't up to your liking, it did clearly state that your not allowed to plan you own excursions outside of Disney and you will be denied entry to the Bahamas. These time are constantly changing and its a day to day change. I'm sorry it was not the best for you and remember that Disney has a lot to protect its guest and the ports it goes to.
Thanks for the review. The Covid restrictions and requirements are posted on the Cruise Line website and in boarding information provided via email. I’m not sure why so many claim they weren’t informed. Hopefully others will see these reviews and make an informed decision on whether to cruise or cancel / postpone their upcoming trip. There are much better options for vacations with children than cruising currently.
