Review summary

We enjoyed decorating our doors and my granddaughter and daughter were thrilled with the ornament exchange and getting Pixie Dusted. My granddaughter asked to go on another cruise after the first full day. Remember to allow enough time for elevator waits. The weather was great, warm but not too hot. The ocean was cool but ok once in the water. It was windy so all excursions, including snorkeling, were cancelled.

Embarkation

We took the Disney bus from WDW. We weren’t picked up until 12:20, which was so late as we were ready for our assigned check-in of 10 am. The line to check in was very long and then we got to an agent and waited and waited and waited. Checking into two rooms which were in a block of rooms that they were having a problem with printing keys. A manager finally walked us on board so we could get lunch about 2:30 pm. We were told to go to guest relations in an hour to get our keys. My husband and daughter went to guest services where I knew there would be a long line. Mandatory muster was at 4 p.m. my son-in-law, 5-year-old granddaughter and I were on deck 11 with our carry-ons. The crew was forcing us out. At the same time, they were closing guest services just as my husband got to the front of the line. He is very mild mannered but the gloves came off when he pressed them that they weren’t going to close until room keys were provided. We just had time to drop our bags and go to muster. 24-hours later we got calls that they heard we had a hard time at check in and offered us float, snorkel, bike rental tix for Castaway Cay, which were delivered with a cooler bag with some sodas and water. It was a nice gesture but still a horrible experience. I will not use the bus for transportation to the port from WDW again. A cruise cast member said the WDW guests are the last picked up because they are getting so many from the airport who fly in early. Loved having my bags moved for us but it was costly. Felt like we were cheated out of several hours of cruise experience just sitting in our room and the lobby all morning.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
The dining room food was great but the Cabanas buffet was typically so-so.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
We used the family pools. The deep pool is 5’3” deep so I couldn’t stand in it and the kids were clinging to the sides. Needless to say I didn’t stay long. The large screen with movies is lots of fun. There were enough chairs to have seats together. Granddaughter loved Goofy Golf. 3-day cruise doesn’t give you enough time to cover a large portion of everything in my opinion. Thought the photographers did an average job. They didn’t try to create anything special or different for the shots with the characters. I was disappointed that there wasn’t a character to greet us on embarking as we had the last cruise.

Entertainment

Service and Staff

Others than the failed check in the ship personnel were great. Loved the magic tricks our waiters did every night.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Again short cruise didn’t provide enough time to explore everything.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
There were comfortable with the size and cleanliness.

Ship tip

Take a longer cruise so you will feel like you discover and did more.

Disembarkation

We got to the airport too early. Had to sit with our luggage until 4 hours before our flight to check the luggage. There were about 6 Disney busses so there is no worry about getting on.
