Review summary

Excellent crew and a smooth ride. Didn't even feel like you were on a ship. The entertainment was first rate. Deck shows not comfortable for older adults. Few chairs available. As with most Disney vacations, despite the higher price you get your money's worth. My daughter has decided she will only cruise with Disney. She did not pay for the cruise so she might have to adjust her point of view

Embarkation

Easiest I have ever experienced in a cruise ship

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
Dining room good was very good. The buffet was so so. We mostly are breakfast at the buffet. Even being there at 7 am the food was not hot unless you ordered a custom omelet. Barbecue on private island was not good. Again burgers and hot dogs were not hot. No specialty restaurants were visited

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
Trivia offerings were okay. The cooking demos were fun, especially the free samples. The craft sessions actually have you real craft supplies, not scrap paper they used on Norwegian line.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
Broadway caliber. And the magician could perform in Vegas.

Children's Programs

5 out of 5
My grandchildren, a boy aged 9 and a girl aged 11 spent little time with me since they were having so much fun in the clubs

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Everyone we dealt with were courteous and helpful. My grandson only wanted grilled cheese for dinner, which wasn't on the kids menu. Our server Kevin ordered from room service the first night and made sure the same meal appeared each night.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Despite being a large ship, it was easy to find your way around. And all areas, especially the public restrooms, we're well maintained.

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
Cabin was clean, the beds were comfortable, but less room from end of bed to the wall than I have experienced on other ships

Ship tip

We had a1 p.m. flight home and Disney told us we needed to take their bus by 8 am. We arrived by 9 am and sat in the airport for 4 hours.I know Disney wants to clean but I think giving people the option to remain on board for a little while.longer would have been good

Ports of call

Port Canaveral, Florida Did not visit port

Arrived the same morning as departure day

Castaway Cay (Disney Private Island)

One day was rained out. The second day was fine but the lunch provided was mediocre. We didn't do any activities except enjoying the water

Nassau, Bahamas

Trip to aquarium. But I have visited better ones at home. Your guide was hard to hear and understand. A bus trip just to the casino would have been preferred.
