Review summary

This was our FIRST Disney cruise and will not be our last. Disney takes customer service to the next level. The little touches everywhere and the staff are beyond amazing. This was was just my husband and I. Disney is really good about having the adults only areas just for adults which we appreciated. The rainforeat pass was incredible and well worth the money on this ship. We were confused as to why there was a 15% gratuity auto added for this "service" when all they do is hand you a robe and check you in. The sauna, whirlpool and heated chairs made all the stress melt away. Spluge for a salt scrub at least 1 day. My skin felt amazing afterwards. The gym was super small and they often have classes when trying to workout. It is very busy in the morning so if you can work out later on the day that would be our recommendation. Order room service...the key lime pie, wings and cheese plate (all included) are wonderful. Our dining was not until 8:15, so we would order combinations of these items while we were getting ready. We enjoyed all the special touches that Disney offers and you can make your cruise as high adventure or low key as you want...there is something for everyone. I can not say how impressed I was with everything and how I will be couting down the days until my next cruise.

Food and Dining

We really Enchanted Garden for breakfast! It was a buffet and was less crowded then Cabanas. Royal Place for breakfast was from a menu. It was good, the service was amazing. We liked all of the food in the rotational dining rooms. We did not care for Animators Palette. It was SO loud in that particular dining area. We also were disappointed with Disney that they didn't accommodate our request for a private table. The people we sat with were lovely but we had hoped for a more getaway experience and this took away from that a little.

This bar is FIRST CLASS. Most people dont know about it because it is between Remy & Palo. We had Palo our first night and we had before dinner drinks here. It bacame our routine for our late dining to go here and have a drink. Jennifer the bartender was AMAZING. The bar overlooks rhe back of the ship and we had the most amazing views of sunsets every night.

Animator's Palate

Just not our favorite. So loud and outside of crush talking (which was hard to hear him), nothing special happened.

Royal Palace

We missed regular dinner here because we went to Palo, but I would recommend it for lunch of you would like to get away fron crowds.

Enchanted Garden

Dinner was great, but the secret is go here for Breakfast buffet every morning. Service is amazing and the food is so good. Plus the atmosphere was our favorite.

Palo

We had dinner here 2 nights. Embarkation night and the last night. Katia was the best server and the food was beyond amazing. It was worth the up charge for many reasons. Food, atmosphere, quite, exquisite service and romantic.

Cabin / Stateroom

We were in cabin 8640 (aft). The space was well thought out. Loved the 2 separate bathrooms and the veranda was awesome. We ordered room service coffee every morning and started our day looking over the water. Our Cabin Stewardess was FIRST CLASS. She was so friendly and delightful. She asked us everyday how our day was and our room was spotless!

Ship tip

Realize you can't do it all. The ship is huge and there are so many activities. Slow down and just enjoy it because your days go by so quick. Explore the ship on your first day and prioritize the things you have to do!

Ports of call

Castaway Cay (Disney Private Island)

This was a double dip cruise to CC. The first day was all about relaxing. We went to serenity bay (18+). Nice and quite. Recommend taking water shoes there are a lot of sharp rocks. The food was great. I wish they had some kind of music as it was almost too quite at times. It did rain and there are not a lot of places for cover. Everything we had was soaked by the time we got on the ship. Disney did take that effort effort and handed us a warm towel when we boarded the ship. Oitside of rain, it was a magical day! The second day we ran the 5k. Be aware there is not a lot of shade! Disney does a great job organizing and it is meant to just be fun. Many people just walked. It rained the second day as well, but toward the end. Such a beautiful island.

We came over on the Disney cruise line bus...the entire process could not have been easier. It ran like clockwork and everyone was so helpful along the way.

Nassau, Bahamas

We have been to this port many times and decided not to get off the ship. Nothing peaked our interest and the ship is AMAZING. So this rating is for the port itself and not reflective of the ship.

Disembarkation

So many people leaving at once and in the lobby and there is not a good process to line people up. Parties were not all together and it felt chaotic. Once you got in the formal line to checkout, get your luggage, go through customs and get to transportation it was great and moved smoothly. But that lobby was just too chaotic. If you can, stay until all that cleared out.
