Review summary

Had a nice cruise. Surprisingly did not feel overwhelmed by the many children on board ...Easter weekend. Disney quality service...fun...and cleanliness. Would go for longer cruise with different Itinerary.

Embarkation

4 out of 5
We waited until later in the afternoon. It was raining. We did wait on the initial line "security"..for about at least a half hour....then again more waiting upstairs. Once called up to desk it was really fast. We were prechecked in online. The Announcing of your arrival was nice.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
Service was fantastic! Dinning experieces were wonderful. Loved that we ate different dinning room each night with same staff and table mates...another family...(which I like , but others do not). I expected to be "wowed" with presentation and flavor but wasn't. Food was good but I have had tastier on other lines. Poolside food was convienent but sort of "boring choices" Buffet was decent but again pretty much the same each day. Liked that there was seating available pretty much when ever we needed...poolside, buffet, and theatre ( we were usually late ...for the shows...and way in back, but we found seats. We had the later dinner so needed to get ready prior to show for dinner.

Animator's Palate

Felt like a palace.

Frozone Treats

We had the icecream on board and the car sundae from Vanellope's was Perfect with a souvenir to take home too. A must do!

Enchanted Garden

4 out of 5

Beautiful decor! Simply Enchanting.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
Aqua Duck is tons of fun. We did wait on lines. Shows were super fun. Teen club was ok according to my daughter. She didnt spend much time there.

Shutters Photo Gallery

4 out of 5

They took some great photos for sure. Not as envasive as on some ships.

AquaDuck

5 out of 5

True fun at its best! Weather was not the warmest. Attentive and supervised lifeguard/operators.

Entertainment

4 out of 5
The violinist was neat. The shows were what you'd expect from Disney. Shows on deck were packed. Enjoyed pirates night and fireworks.

Children's Programs

4 out of 5
The staff were very nice. She said entertainment was good. We saw the characters about the ship often, but we didn't wait on any lines to personally greet them

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Staff was the best! Excellent. Our room steward, waiters, and everyone we encountered. Except upon debarkation... outside. She was rude.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Good layout. Easy to navigate. Yes...VERY CLEAN.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Three of us fit well. The balcony was small but served its purpose. Our bed was comfy...not so sure about the couch. Appreciated the room curtain divider. Tub/shower ...shower too short for husband to stand up in. I think the tub is great for families and I may have even used it on a longer cruise myself. I do not really like the split bathroom ...each one was small, but if I had young children it would've been an advantage.

Ship tip

Eat ice cream...mouse ears too...enjoy because its over in a flash.

Ports of call

Port Canaveral, Florida

Clean. No excursion. We stayed in cocoa beach prior. Enjoyed our time there for overnight until early afternoon on sail away day. Stayed near pear.

Nassau, Bahamas

4 out of 5
Nassau was good. But nothing too special. No hasslers to buy things.

Castaway Cay (Disney Private Island)

4 out of 5
Clean. Lots of seating. Went to adult beach...earlier in the day... we felt it was boring. Service was super, drinks were deliscious, chairs were on a slant due to water/tides. Saw some people doing yoga and relaxing in hammocks too. Bbq food was fine. Tram terrific. "Shopping" was sparse for islandy wares, but had what ever you might need. Daughter did the slides. She didnt wait long. Thought it was fun. She also snorkeled but was not impressed (we usually do sail and snorkel excursions)...many excursions cancelled due to winds and safety.

Disembarkation

I was a little confused about the process. We could have had breakfast in a dinning room but opted for buffet. Just to grab something quick before exiting. We carried off our own luggage. We missed it...any breakfast. I have never had to sit and wait in lines to debark inside the ship? I understand going through customs takes time and we waited then too. They kept telling us keep moving as we are currently walking following the people in front of us with no added space. I guess if you dine in the restraunt (seated at 8 a.m.) you could take your time. I felt like cattle waitng to get off the ship. Not fun at all. The inside Disney personel about to be checking in the next cruise guests were very pleasant. They were not checking people in as yet (far as I could tell ). The woman outside the door was rude! You know how you have luggage and travel documents to place away safely...needing to just settle those before getting curbside? She told us we could not sit... for even a moment as they had to be ready for incoming passengers! She was rude and adamant! The next cruise passengers were not yet arriving...and wouldn't have wanted to sit before boarding anyways. I just felt now that your cruise is over we don't care. Not Disney's style at all.
