Review summary

This is a great family cruise. So much to do. Just not enough time to get it all done. Love Disney service. Disney's private island is worth the entire trip.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
We walked right into terminal. Fast line for check in. Walked onto ship and straight to cabin. Ship had been empty of passengers for a week due to hurricane Irma.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
We used the rotating main dinning rooms for dinner. Excellent service and food. No specialty restaurant for us. Used buffet for breakfast only. Selection was ok.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
Aquaduck best tube slide. It goes around the ship so fun. Smaller slide for kids. Pools were nice. Only complaint was they were covered a few nights for deck parties.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
Only attended the Halloween Party and the pirate party with fireworks.

Children's Programs

5 out of 5
Son loved the kids area. Daughter did not. Depends on the kid.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Wonderful service called by name and kids were treated like Royalty.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Ship was in excellent shape. They were constantly doing maintenance on the ship.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Cabin was very nice. 4 beds. One upper bunk and couch made into bed. Plenty of storage space under bed. Balcony was huge. 4 lounge chairs and table with room to walk around. It was near the kids area.

Ship tip

3 days was not enough time for the Halloween stuff along with Pirate night and all the regular Disney ship activities.

Ports of call

Port Canaveral, Florida

Stayed at Disney Resort prior to cruise due to no power at hotel in Port Caneveral.

Nassau, Bahamas

My husband and son age 7 took a taxi to Fort Montagu to tour Fort and swim. They had no problems cost $40 for taxi.

Castaway Cay (Disney Private Island)

5 out of 5
Best Island I have even been. Ship docks at Port no tenders. Clean beach, gorgeous water, and plenty of umbrellas. Lunch provided on the island with complementary ice cream and sodas.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
Walked off, through customs, porter help with bags to car. Perfect experience.
