Disney Dream

4 Night Bahamas (Port Canaveral Roundtrip)

Sail date: February 06, 2017

Ship: Disney Dream

Traveled as: Family (young children)

Review summary

Overall good cruise.  Buffet was better than most, Castaway Cay was fantastic.  VERY limited adult activities, for that reason we probably won't go with Disney again.  The grandkids had a great time, didn't really spend too much time in the kids area, enjoyed the pools and pirate night.

Ship experiences

Onboard Activities

1 out of 5
Need WAY more adult activities. We were literally bored. Did see Rogue One which was great, but needed more to do.

Entertainment

3 out of 5
limited music options, Golden Mickeys were OK, Villains were OK, Believe was amazing, wish the first two had been as good. Magician was great. Shows were way too loud. My husband spent the first evening covering one ear, wore hearing protection the other nights. With so many young children, really no reason to have it so loud.

Children's Programs

Boys 4 and 7 didn't spend too much time in the children's area

Cabin / Stateroom

room steward was good but not great. We are used to great on other lines. My parents, in another room, requested ice, didn't get it... had to ask for shampoo, had to ask for tissues. room was clean, just not over the top service that we have experienced other times.

Ship tip

Great if you have young children, if you are adults, you may find a lack of activities

Castaway Cay (Disney Private Island)

Nicest private island we have visited, Serenity Bay was amazing (adult area)
