Review summary

Expensive and not worth it unless you're vacationing with kids. Don't waste your money on spa treatments unless you like being up sold on spa products.

Every spa , weather is on land or sea will try to sell you product.

Disney is meant for kids - young and young at heart. The fact that it is Disney should have tipped you off to the cruise theme.

We have heard great things about DCL from friends who have cruised with them many times... but it's our choice not to cruise Disney. dvsdog76, you are spot on.

Everyone is entitled to their opinion and I myself and my wife will still be cruising Disney when we don't have kids.. I have also spoke with many many older couples that crusie Disney without kids or grandkids... You get out of it what u out into it.. Not everything will be perfect... Disney does have flaws also but they dot heir best to make u happy... As for as up charge.. It's a vacation

I just got off it. No kids with had a blast so much to do and never saw kids. Lots of adults areas including the beach. It's for adults also

Kids can come in any age.   I have friends that are Disney Freeks,  they are 40 to 60 years old.   They go to Disneyland just for dinner and 1 ride (they have season passes).   All cruise lines cater to different demographics.  A bit of research can do wonders to make for a great vacation.

Disney cruise are made for those with kids... no kids, go on another line. As far as spa stuff is concerned, We have bought the Elermis products since our first cruise and when we are not on board a ship we order on-line for some items.

We have not cruised with DCL but it's because the Disney brand was built upon kids and we try to select cruises specifically with as few minors as possible. ‚ I'm not sure I could‚ keep a straight face and say‚ I didn't realize that anything to do with the‚ Disney brand was oriented toward kids.

PS: All spas up-sell products... it's one reason I've slowed down on spa treatments. . . I go to relax, not to fend off a sales pitch.

Doesn't their private island also have an adults only beach? I'd love to cruise Disney but they're a little out of our budget.

We went last year and it was the best vacation that we have been on. Disney is a little more expensive, but you get what you pay for. They have plenty of adult areas. They have about 3 or 4 adult night clubs and the whole front of the ship on the top level is adult only.

I went on the dream last year and can't believe that anyone wouldn't love it. Kids or not. I want to go again without kids.

So you have been on 4 - 6 cruises and NEVER knew that Disney was focused on the kids? did you do any research prior to booking? If you did, you would have realized it is all about the kids when it comes to Disney cruise lines (hence, no casino). And as for the upselling for spa products, that happens with every cruise line that has a spa. You don't have to buy anything, you know that as well right?
