We had a very relaxing time on the Discovery Princess. We ate well, got to see a couple of ports in Mexico, and the weather down there was great in mid-October

Great buffet selection, main dining, and especially specialty restaurants. We ate at all of them, but the multi-course meal at Sabatini's was a highlight -- and they let you order a specialty pizza from Gigi's, which is also great.

The pools are very nice, love being able to watch movies or concerts from the pool deck. The gym is well equipped and offers good classes.
Entertainment

Princess always does great variety shows. The DJ was pretty solid throughout. And they had a pair of violinists - The Gold Strings Duo - who performed awesome violin renditions of contemporary pop music.

The mini-suite was a nice step up from a Balcony room, without being as expensive as a full suite.
It was easy. We enjoyed a leisurely breakfast in the dining room, then got off the ship with the group after our group was called. Picking up suitcases was easy.
