Review summary

Had a wonderful time on Discovery Princess. She was clean and well laid out. Our mini-suite was spacious, and lots of storage with only two of us. My wife loves the bathtubs in those rooms. It was cold and did not spend a lot of time on the balcony but did enjoy it while in Port. MRD had good food and service. Buffet had the same menu with little variations day to day. I liked the salad option at breakfast which you don't often get.

Embarkation

Arrived at 10:45, picked up our medallions, and were on board at 11:00. The room was ready so we dropped our bag and headed to the MDR for brunch.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
It was not spectacular, but I always found something. The salmon was excellent. Last night, the prime rib was really good and larger than expected. Did not go to the specialty restaurants or the other pay restaurants. Being a domestic cruise, we did not get the plus package and were not going to get caught up in paying for meals when there are decent free options.

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
We do not take in too many shows. Music was good. Fitness center was clean and had nice equipment.

Service and Staff

Our room steward Jose was great! Hardly saw him, but our room was always spotless. Cleaned twice a day.

Cabin / Stateroom

Plenty of room and a curtain separates the bed from the sitting area. That's nice when I'm up at 5, and my wife sleeps until 8. Lol

Ship tip

She is a beautiful ship. Check out all the public areas and just hang out.

Flawless getting off the ship. It's confusing in Vancouver as to options getting to the airport. We rarely use ship transfers and don't have an issue. I should have researched it better ahead of time. Uber pick up was a few blocks from the terminal and no signs where to get a taxi.
