We are local. So arrived at the port at 12:15. We were on board by 12:30. Super easy. No one was in the terminal on a sold out cruise.

Love this ship. Discovery is a beautiful ship. Still very well maintained and beautiful.

Last minute upgrade offer was accepted. We went from an interior to a deluxe obstructed view balcony. We had no obstructions that we noticed. Wonderful cabin in a great location

Ship tip

The mid and forward elevators get crowded. Head to the aft elevators to get to the floor you want without being crowded in.

Love San Diego. This is where I plan to retire. We went to the USS Midway Museum then took a ferry over to Coronado. This was my son’s birthday. It was a great day
