Review summary

The embarkation process is ridiculous !!! One giant long line and no place for platinum or elite members to go check in separately. The dining reservations are also ridiculous !!! You can't ever book a table at a specialty dining room, but when you go there, they let you in and all the tables are empty. They said its because passengers book tables and then don't cancel them. They should do a better job of managing this issue.

Embarkation

1 out of 5
Long lines to get to the check-in desk and then they couldn't finish checking us in so we had to wait for the IT department and get shuffled around before we could get checked in.

Ship Quality

2 out of 5
For being a new ship, it is not very clean. The carpets are stained and their vacuums don't get them clean.

Cabin / Stateroom

3 out of 5
the carpets are always dirty and the vacuum doesn't pick up stuff or the cabin steward doesn't use the vacuum. There was a piece of fuzz on the carpet that stayed there the entire cruise.

Ship tip

Sail on a smaller ship or on dates when the ship won't sell out. It is much too crowded everywhere and embarkation is ridiculous !!!

Ports of call

Ensenada, Mexico

nothing to see here

Disembarkation

3 out of 5
the terminal is old and they make you walk all over to get to the customs desk, then all the way back across the whole terminal to get to a car pick up area, which is all in the same area as the embarkation, so there are lines everywhere and no signage

We were on it in May and August last year. Carpets looked great in May. I noticed some stain in August. Vacuums just won’t get carpets clean. If shampooing won’t get it out, then they have to be replaced. Other than that, still looked like a new ship to us.

Gosh, l am sorry you had such a terrible experience. We were on for Halloween & had lots of fun. We even hid Halloween ducks.

I hate it when it's too crowded

Goodness, I was on this sailing. It seems as if we were on different ships at the same time. The only thing to agree on was the crowds, but it was still manageable. As for the rest of the comments, the ship is beautiful they are always cleaning and maintaining. As an Elite cruiser, I walked right in and onto the ship, no lines, no fuss. It was a shame that your experience and perception were so negative. Especially as it was decorated so nicely for the holidays. Here's to better cruising for your future.

Sorry you couldn’t find one nice thing in your cruise to comment on. Must feel like a total waste of your time and money to be so dissatisfied.

No comments about San Diego? Wonder what terminal they went out of in LA? As an Elite I have always had a decent experience in boarding from both of them (unlike Long Beach where they have a handicap line that does not always work and a main line) or did they do the dreaded third terminal out on the end?
