Review summary

Fantastic short cruise - that almost felt like a longer voyage. The passenger load were typical Princess folks and the overall experience was not different from any other Princess trip. Lucky enough to participate in the Chef's Table one night, see whales and other marine life on sea days, and enjoy the Sanctuary complete with steamer blankets. Would take this trip again!

Embarkation

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
Food was very good. Princess is improving steadily over the return to service level experience last year. Minor disappointment with the level and availability of quality wines on the Plus package. If you're a wine drinker, the Premier package is probably a better option.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
The Sanctuary never disappoints, even in coolish weather. A great way to relax and indulge all at the same time. Had a cabana on the first sea day and felt totally spoiled

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
ALways friendly and helpful.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Brand new ship.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Great room in my favorite location with bigger balcony than most. Enjoy the extra space and the tub/shower combo

Ship tip

Consider using the aft dining room on 6, especially if your stateroom is aft of the center elevators. It is directly accessible from the aft elevators.

Ports of call

San Pedro (Los Angeles), California

A surprising amount of tourist-geared things to do, despite being adjacent to a VAST commercial port. A visit to the Queen Mary is a must-do!

Victoria, British Columbia

5 out of 5
Stunningly beautiful and friendly. Highly recommend a visit to the gardens. Worth the ride

Vancouver (Canada Place), British Columbia

5 out of 5
ALso beautiful, clean and safe. Fantastic hotels walking distance from Canada Place, even with luggage with amazing views of the Harbor front. Also amazing restaurants and parks. Would like to have stayed even longer, or continued on to Alaska.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
Totally painless. Did walk-off. Took elevators up to street level (one was broken which slowed things down a bit). Very clean, organized, passenger friendly. Probably best seaport for passengers in the world.
