Review summary

I booked this cruise at the last minute, and was very pleasantly surprised at the quality and aesthetics of the ship, the friendliness and helpfulness of the crew, and the amount of activities offered. I took part in a lot of the activities and found them to be entertaining, informative and fun. This was a repositioning cruise so itinerary was only one way, however I would take this cruise again if available in the future.

Embarkation

4 out of 5
For me, the embarkation process was easy and efficient. However, if you had not completed the pre-cruise steps, this process would have been cumbersome.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
Overall, the food quality was excellent, however I found the menu choices to be somewhat limited in the main dining rooms. The buffets and specialty restaurants were awesome.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
Loved the trivia games and games that included crew members. The cruise director and assistant director were excellent at engaging the guests to participate in various events.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
I enjoyed the music very much, especially Kory, the piano entertainer in the Crooner's Bar.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Every member of the crew and staff that I encountered was friendly and helpful.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
The layout of this ship was well thought out and easy to maneuver. The colors were elegant and classy.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
The cabin was lovely, chic and comfortable. Plenty of storage and even a USB port in the bedside lamp.

Ship tip

Spend the first couple of hours onboard familiarizing yourself with decks 5, 6, and 7. This familiarity will serve you well during the rest of your trip.

Ports of call

San Pedro (Los Angeles), California

3 out of 5
This was merely an embarkation port for me.

Victoria, British Columbia

5 out of 5
Victoria was beautiful. I wish our stay was longer. I booked an excursion through Princess (whale watching), and our time in Victoria was almost over when I returned to the ship. Next time I'll make sure to make it into the city.

Vancouver (Canada Place), British Columbia

5 out of 5
Absolutely breathtaking docking in Vancouver at night.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
Easy, fast, no lines.
