Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
After a major renovation completed in October 2017 the ambience and new restaurants { Churrisarie the Brazilian evening dining & Silk for lunch} were a treat. New colors and decor warm and inviting. Trident Grill & Scoops staff are so warm and friendly. Prego is a romantic dream and still offering that special Italian foods. Staff remembers your name and choose food/drink each time they see you.....just like a family.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
Wonderful guest lectures, Ambassador Marc Ginsburg, Retied Generals, Dr. Dick Farcus, Golf pros, and the wonderful Dance Team of Curtis & Beverly. The Pilates classes not to mention computer university at sea. WiFi is now unlimited and Free after the renovation. You can be as active or relaxed as you wish.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
The wonderful Entertainment staff always provided something new and exciting. Plus the special Broadway acts brought on for extra performances. Gordon & Lana in the Cove and ballroom dance team Curtis & Beverly along with the Ambassador Dance hosts for those who did not have a partner.

Children's Programs

Not offered on this sailing

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Remi in Prago and Slavko in Waterside went above and beyond in trying to make everything run smooth. This was not easy due to the new changes after renovation with new menus, IPad ordering for staff & kitchen and new table designs for all open seating in main dining room.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
New design is nice and after the bugs of renovation and worked out it will be wonderful. A work in progress at moment. The new Spa cabins were not all yet completed for this sold out Presidents Voyage but, staff took care of making guests happy. The new Waterside dining room now has more tables for 2 but, the large tables for 6 & 8 were removed to accommodate the change.....after the new President Tom Wallier saw how this effected guests a order was immediately place to make changes for more large table tops....that would arrive when ship docked back in Miami.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Denise took great care of keeping my little home immaculate and add little extra touches like fresh flowers and chocolates as a surprise.

Ship tip

Pre book Specialty restaurants before cruise. Reserve a specialty restaurant not the main dining room on Formal nights to enjoy better service. Try everything once and mix with other guests to make new friends with different interest.

Ports of call

Civitavecchia (Rome), Italy

Rome is always a special treat no matter how many times I visit.

Limassol, Cyprus

4 out of 5
Toured a interesting farm for wine & olives plus a tasting of cheeses. Great way to interact with locals

Haifa, Israel

4 out of 5
Due to many visitors this was crowed and tour guide not the best. Coach driver got lost so we missed seeing some sights. Crystal as always took care to correct the problems for guests with compensation.

Ashdod, Israel

Suez Canal Transit

Pirate drills and barbed wire on deck 6 aft for extra protection! We even had a special security Team on board to ensure our safety. A experience none of us we ever forget. As travelers we take security for granted unlike other countries, The landscape on both side of canal was different and inspiring {extreme dessert vs lush greenery}

Aqaba (Petra), Jordan

5 out of 5
Star light dinner with baby grand piano followed by 4 x 4 jeep to Bedouin Camp and Camel rides what more could you ask for?

Salalah, Oman

Muscat, Oman

Another wonderful place to visit

Dubai, U.A.E.

Las Vegas on steroids, Gold, Gold and more Gold! A expansive modern city with much to offer along with the new "Louver Museum" that opened 1 week before our visit. The architecture of this new museum building is spectacular.

Disembarkation

After a leisurely breakfast departed the Symphony at 9:30am in Cape Town, SA. No stress just tears to leave so many new friends and staff after 49 nights. Counting the days till next cruise in April 2018
