Don’t bother with Princess if you have food allergies. They aren’t allergen friendly. Ship is olde and needs an update. Pools aren’t heated, so not useable.
Embarkation

They had insufficient personnel to collect baggage, so the line to drop off wrapped around the parking lot, with no guidance or signage. We left the line and carried our luggage onboard. We were reprimanded on board, because we went to our room, as the staff had directed us. However, I guess they weren’t ready for people to go to their rooms. There was no signage to this effect.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
3 out of 5
Not friendly for people with food allergies. Main dining room is your only option, as nothing is labeled for allergens in the menus or on the buffet. Food was rather bland, except for the soups. Portions were very small.
Onboard Activities
1 out of 5
Enrichment programs were great. Activities we have enjoyed on other trips were ruined by the immature and unprofessional activity staff.
Entertainment
2 out of 5
We tried most entertainment, but left most as the performers were not good
Service and Staff
4 out of 5
Friendly staff, but very slow
Ship Quality
3 out of 5
The galley in the middle was awkward. Maid carts are too wide and can’t fit in cabin door, so made traversing the corridor with a walker impossible most of the day.
Cabin / Stateroom

Clean, but bed and couch were both ancient and uncomfortable. TVs were mounted next to each other, so could only use one at a time, because of the way the volume was between sets. Excellent extended deck.
Sorry for your experience with food allergies. I always was happy with this part of the cruise. All that I had to do is to talk with restaurant manager on the first day and every evening I had a chance to see/order/modify my next day meal.
I would be interested to know what allergies are not catered for, they cater for dairy free, gluten free and no sugar but I guess beyond that individual service is required. My granddaughter has a number of food allergies including the above soy and certain types of vegetables but she is happy with the food provided and how the staff go out of their way to assist, something that doesn’t alway happen at land based restaurants.
