Review summary

In spite of missing 2 ports, this was one of our all-time favorite cruises. Made new friends and reconnected with old friends. Mahalo Crown Princess!

Embarkation

5 out of 5
We arrived at Berth 93 early and had to wait before entering the terminal. Once embarkation began, we were on the ship quickly with an Elite Group A boarding pass.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
Food ranged from adequate to very good. Crown Grille was outstanding as usual. Also, Salty Dog Gastropub was surprisingly good.

Onboard Activities

Entertainment

4 out of 5
Always nice to have Dave and Leialoha aboard Hawaii trips. Finding Liam Stewart in Crooners was a wonderful surprise.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Marie, the bartender in the Mix Bar is awesome. Show the crew some simple courtesy and they’ll bend over backwards for you.

Ship tip

There tends to be engine noise and vibration at the back of the ship. Possibly a problem for aft staterooms.

Thanks for your review. We booked in June 2024, for our anniversary and staying in an aft balcony suite hopefully that noise is taken care of by then.

Thanks 😊 for your comments. Just booked Crown Princess for 2024 in November. This will be our first cruise to Hawaii and on Princess cruise line.

We missed Kauai due to wind gusting 45 knots and tenders could not be launched in Lahaina with 3 meter swells.
