Review summary

I planned this trip for about a year. The cruise was chosen for its itinerary. I read so many bad reviews and hoped our experience would be better. We will never do another Princess Cruise. The food was so bad that words can’t describe many of the things we attempted to eat.

Food on this ship is bad. The buffet area was very small with not many edible options. The specialty restaurants were not worth the extra money. The cheeseburgers and pizza on deck 15 were edible.

We love the Crown Princess Ship! The entire crew, accommodations, entertainment and food was great! We are cruising it again this December. Then cruising the new Enchanted Princess Ship to Europe in 2021

So sorry you were disappointed. We have only cruised once and it was a Med cruise on the Crown in April 2018. We loved it so much, we booked another cruise on the Crown in the same mini suite cabin we had last time. Leave In 48 days for another 10 days on this beautiful ship. As far as the food went, some dishes were nothing to write home about and others were divine. They are trying to feed 3000 people multiple times throughout the day so I know it can’t all be gourmet every meal. We had such an amazing time and felt blessed to be able to enjoy a 2 week trip to the Mediterranean. I do think cruises and vacations in general are what you make of them.

We loved the Crown - both the ship and the crew. Can't wait to go back to it next year on a medallion cruise.

I feel that sometimes people set their expectations way too high, and then are let down by some small inconvenience. I sailed on the Crown and though all was great. I did not do the upcharge crown grill, but is always worth the monies spent. I cannot believe for one instant the food was that bad, cause PCI always prides itself on their food selection and taste. While mot all dishes served are to my liking...I have never said the food was bad because there was something I didn't like. Perhaps you shouldn't cruise since you seem to be unable to be pleased.

We loved the crown and would definitely book on her again ! Food was good , staff was amazing and the layout of the ship was great ! Thoroughly enjoyed our family vacation!

Please don't base princess on the Crown. We have done many cruises with pri and we did not care for the crown...the staff was rude, ship just seemed like it was under a dark cloud...perhaps it is the upper management of that ship...please do try again as this is not typical princess..
