We had been there before. Shopping is very expensive and we had no desire for diamonds and gold. Took a tour of the island and was satisfied with our stay. Probably have no desire to go back again. Not through a bad experience but have gotten to see all that we wanted.

We wern't sure what to expect. The island is definitely third world with political and infrastructure problems. Thought we would also see more beauty in the vegetation. I understand it has only started its "resort status" 5 years ago. It is going to take quite a bit of time for it to reach a favorable status.

Cons: People taking lounge chairs without being there
