Review summary

This cruise was not too great. We had a panorama suite, which was beautiful, and it was the best part of the vacation. The cruise director STUNK, the food was the worst food I've EVER had in my life (imagine hospital food) and the front desk staff was very rude when they accidently quadruple charged my credit card on the first day! The butler and room attendent were very kind even though the butler told us that they are basically treated like slaves, being forced to work weeks on end without a day off and having an average shift of 18 hours.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

The WORST food I've ever had in my life. Avoid it at all costs. You'd think that an Italian cruise line would have wonderful cuisine, but this stuff was garbage. There was even a notice on the menu that said the food was frozen! Also, don't waste your money on the upscale restaurant. It was worse than the dining room and you could hear all the noise from the atrium nine floors below!

Entertainment

So cheesy it was good. One of the shows was called "Time Capsule" or something stupid where the songs went chronologically to the last song called "Millenium"...ummm, it's 2006 now and it might be time for a new show!

Service and Staff

3 out of 5
If it were just the room staff, the rating would be a 5; however since the front office is included, I dropped the score to average.

Ship Quality

3 out of 5
This ship was VERY clean. The faciilities were in great condition and the decor was nice. None of the chairs in the public areas were comfortable though.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Beautiful stateroom with butler service, large balcony and huge jacuzzi bathroom (for a ship anyhow). This was the best part of the ship.

Ports of call

Key West, Florida

Best Part of the Trip. I wish we would have stayed there longer!
Don't Miss: Ricky's Blue Heaven

George Town, Grand Cayman

Spectacular deals here! There is great shopping but the island is sort of ugly!
Don't Miss: Ritz Carlton ($12 fare) and Tortola Rum store!

Cozumel, Mexico

It's sad because this port was badly damaged in the hurricanes; however, it is still fun because everything can be negotiated here!

Ocho Rios, Jamaica

ICK! Don't get off the boat. This place was creepy! Everyone tried to sell you drugs. Also there were lots of people wearing Kevlar vests....that should be a hint! The taxi service on this island is disgusting. We had a private car (we thought it would be nicer) and the seats were covered with newspapers!
Don't Miss: Police Protection
