Non Stop Fun by KathleenB2

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Costa Fortuna / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

This was a fantastic vacation. The enterainment at the pool in the afternoons was so much fun and the Carribean night was awesome. If you want to play tennis, which we did, be aware that it is not a full size court so it's not the real deal but still fun to volley on a ship. Also b ring your own racquets and balls so you can play any time. The food was a little disappointing - good but not great - bland sauces and odd entree selections. We had a great vacation.

Our first cruise by MerleR

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Costa Fortuna / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

The ship was nothing special or exciting. We needed a wheelchair and found it impossible to get one so getting to the shows and dining room on the other end of the ship was extremely difficult (our dining room was closed for breakfast and lunch bacause a special group was using it) There was little or no sugar-free desserts on the buffet for diabetics. The Lido deck buffet became boring.

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: Costa Fortuna / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

I would like to say that I am very dissapointed that I did not have access to all the ship portions of the ship was reserved for the Kosherica restaurants, pools, bars and elevators. When I reserved I thought I paid the full price and not half price.... I demand a explanation and refund for the portion of the ship WE DID NOT HAVE ACCESS TO

Not so wonderful cruise by CosminR

Some of the staff was not helpful, no one could make a decision about several customer service issues. Never again on Costa Cruises for us.

Disappointing cruise by RichardW5

Sail date: / Traveled as: Large Group
Ship: Costa Fortuna / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

We were quite dissapointed that a specialty cruise group (Kosherica) were given such special treatment on our cruise. The group had one dining room reserved for breakfast and lunch. They had exclusive use of some deck areas in the evening and refused to let us pass through to reach other areas of the ship.

So much to do! by TiffanyW

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Costa Fortuna / Destination: Caribbean - Western

The Costa Fortuna was a beautiful ship! The staff was the best part: they were all very friendly, accommodating, and willing to go above and beyond. The food was excellent. I also enjoyed the ports of call. The islands were beautiful! However, the pillows were terrible and we were charged a "service fee" at the end of our cruise that we were not previously told about. We had to go to the front desk to have it removed.

Fair but not great by MiguelR3

Sail date: / Traveled as: Large Group
Ship: Costa Fortuna / Destination: Caribbean

The service provided in restaurants and buffets was real bad. I asked in customer service if they sold future cruises in the ship and they did not know what I was talking about. The A/C in public areas was real bad. The shows and Music was great. The food was ok.

Not so wonderful. I expected more. by JoseT3

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Costa Fortuna / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

Tv programing was very poor and if you wanted to watch any movie you had to pay for it The food was not up to par for an Italian ship. Not enough personnel in the gangway during embarkation. Took a very long time.

Great ship if you don't have to eat by EdithH

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Costa Fortuna / Destination: Caribbean

The ship itself was very nice. The rooms were a good size and clean (but don't expect toiletries, mints on your pillow, towel animals or any extra touches). The public rooms were very nice although they kept the ship uncomfortably hot (no need for a shawl in any rooms including the dining rooms and the theator). The 'European style' of cruising translated into a major lack of organization (no such thing as waiting your turn in line as the European guests just push in front of you at any time). The food was poor except for the breads and pastas. The service in our restaraunt (Raffeal) was the worst I have ever seen although we heard that the other resteraunt was fine. The buffet was of poor quality and selection and again no such thing as organization existed. The specialty restaraunt had great service but the food was nothing special. The Casino was great, love the coins versus the card in the slot machines it makes winning more fun. Tendering ashore and disembarking were unorganized disasters and took twice as long as on any other cruise we have been on. I wouldn't want to do another Costa Fortuna cruise, but I might try another Costa ship (although it wouldn't be my first, second, or third choice).

Wonderful cruise! by StephanieH2

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Costa Fortuna / Destination: Caribbean - Western

I thought it was a wonderful cruise. There were many activities and the layout of the boat, however a bit confusing, was fun to explore. I would have liked a bigger pool or a different pool, sunbathing area layout, but in general, I liked the ship a lot. Eating at the same table every night allowed me to become close to those I dined with. I liked the way things were set up and the staff was very friendly and helpful. I was well treated and entertained and would do Costa Fortuna again.

Wondeful way to see the Greek Islands by NicoleT34329742

Sail date: /
Ship: Costa Fortuna / Destination: Europe - Eastern Mediterranean

My overall impression of the ship was very good. It was a clean ship with a polite staff. They had specific hosts/hostesses for each of the different languages, to keep you well informed of all the ship happenings of the day. Most of the ship's crew spoke multiple languages - so you could approach anyone with any of your questions/concerns.

Venice/Greece Dream Cruise by IvanU

Sail date: /
Ship: Costa Fortuna / Destination: Europe - Eastern Mediterranean

The ship was great and new. The entertainment and ffod flavor and quality was one of our worst experinces in cruises. The "smoking everywhere" was horrible, we could not get away from it...we don't smoke.
