A disappointing poor cruise

Sail Date: December 23, 2007

Reviewed: 9 years ago

Traveled As: Family (older children)

Room Type: Oceanview

Meals were fair, service was poor not because of personnel but because of lack of training and communication of management.
Excursions one specific was misrepresented when we scheduled snorkeling the crew although knowing the weather was stormy took us to a cove that was dangerous and then did not allow snorkeling. That cove appeared dangerous even in the best weather because of undercurrents. We paid for an excursion that should have been cancelled before reaching the site.

Pros: The ship was beautiful that was all

Cons: meals and service

Recommends Costa Fortuna? No.

Food and Dining
Some food was inedible, other not fresh, service very marginal eg no wine service available, no other personal service.
Ship Quality
Cabin / Stateroom
Service and Staff
See snorkeling excursion above.
With poor site and ? weather, probably unlikely that anyone ever snorkels on this excursion
Road Town, Tortola, B.V.I.
Grand Turk Island
Clean and well arranged with good tours that were well organized.
Don't Miss: I did scuba diving which was excellent
Philipsburg, St. Maarten
San Juan, Puerto Rico

Don't Miss: walk of some parts of city and fortress.
