Review summary

We loved the cruise and the weather we encountered at the end of the world. Some of the ports were better than others, but that was expected. It was interesting to learn more about these countries and the struggles they have to put up with.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
We are not real picky, but we thought it was great. The main dining room was very pleasant, quiet and we had a window every night.

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
The activities were very average. This is not a "luxury" cruise that has lectures, cooking, and learning experiences. We had to make our own fun, and the activities were not alot. They had a movie outside by the pool, every day and night, and it was freezing. Why didn't they have them in the theater more often.

Entertainment

4 out of 5
We enjoyed several of the music acts on board. Especially Sammy on the piano every night. The dance bands they had were also very good and entertaining. They theater entertainment was just OK.

Children's Programs

We had no kids on board

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
We always have to compliment the staff every where on board. They are always working hard and long hours.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Loved the layout of the ship. Liked all the sitting areas, walking deck on 7, and the pool layout. The restaurants we had to get used to, as they were in the front of the ship rather than the back.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Larger room than normal. Big patio, large area by patio, but no couch. There would have been no room for a couch.

Ship tip

Small library with just a few chairs, and you had to get there early or you could never get a seat to read. They camped out in them all day.

Ports of call

Buenos Aires, Argentina

Montevideo, Uruguay

Could have skipped this town......boring

Puerto Madryn, Argentina

3 out of 5
Run down city with not much going on. They had a penguin tour that was poor.

Port Stanley, Falkland Islands

5 out of 5
This was our favorite and most interesting port. King Penquins were the highlight as well as the ride out with our quite. Learned alot.

Cruise Cape Horn

3 out of 5
We had to turn around due to high winds and huge waves. We went up the Beagle Channel.

Ushuaia, Tierra Del Fuego, Argentina

5 out of 5
Very unique town. Loved the king crab in town too.

Punta Arenas, Chile

3 out of 5
Another depressed city.

Cruise Amalia Glacier

5 out of 5
Even though it was raining and foggy, it was still fun to see.

Puerto Montt, Chile

5 out of 5
Loved this volcano town....as well as Puerto Varas. The lakes and mountains were beautiful.

San Antonio, Chile

1 out of 5
A typical dump of a port for freight. It was 75 miles into Santiago.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
As advertised.
