Coral Princess

7 Night Voyage Of The Glaciers Southbound (Anchorage To Vancouver)

Sail date: June 13, 2018

Ship: Coral Princess

Cabin type: Balcony

Traveled as: Couple

Reviewed: 6 years ago

Review summary

Staff on board the ship were not helpful and most barely spoke English. Any announcements made over the PA system were not intelligible. Internet was down for most of the trip and poor when it was available. There was no way to ship things home from the ship. I felt like we were constantly being rushed to finish meals. Food choices were few and most food was poorly cooked. Most people on ship were complaining. I would probably not sail Princess again.

Embarkation

Lines were a little long but at least we did not have to deal with our luggage.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

Food tended to be on the cool side and there was not much variation

Onboard Activities

Too cold for outdoor pools. Indoor pools not open much. Not much to do.

Waiters were always rushing you. Information centers were rarely open and couldn't answer questions when they were.

Ship tip

Make sure all your questions are answered BEFORE you board as you won't get any help once on board. If you have a later flight on day of disembarking, figure out what to do with your luggage ahead of time so you don't have to keep it with you all day since you cannot check it more than 3 hours before flight.

Things were too spread out and not easy to get to. Information center at port REFUSED to answer any questions regarding transportation around the city or location of places in city.

Ketchikan, Alaska

Wish we had more time in the city. We did a seaplane excursion.

Vancouver (Canada Place), British Columbia

Port was a good distance from airport. All touristy spots were near the port but you could not easily get from airport to port.

Please explain to me how you expected shipping something home from the ship that is in the middle of the ocean.
