Review summary

Loved the cruise and all the experiences on the ship and in port. Glacier bay was beautiful. The days on ship were filled with things to do. Loved Glo our onboard naturalist. Her talks were entertaining and informative. Ate at both Sabbatini's and Bayor Cafe and food was excellent in both. Will definitely take a cruise again.

Food and Dining

All the food was great

Onboard Activities

We went to the art auctions. I would have liked to have seen more art that was priced for those of us who are not able to spend thousands of dollars, but I learned a lot from the staff about the painters, their techniques and their lives. It was worth going just for the information that was given out. We also worked out in the gym several times. It was very clean and there were always an adequate number of machines available. Pools appeared clean, but it was too cold to swim.

Entertainment

All were great! We thought the entertainment was outstanding. We went to all of the shows.

Service and Staff

All were terrific. They were always smiling and obviously enjoyed their jobs.

Cabin / Stateroom

Cabin was very nice. I especially appreciated the large bathroom with a nice size bath tub. It was much bigger than I expected to see on a ship. Hot water was immediate and never ran out. Arrangement of room was very comfortable

Ship tip

You will be innundated with requests to go to high dollar jewelry store and art events on the boat. Don't let that put you off. It really bothered us at first. It seemed that Princess had forgotten the middle class traveler, but if you look around, you will really find that there are gifts and souvenirs to be bought in all price ranges. Y

We went a day before we sailed and went to Grannville Island, Stanley Park, and the Aquarium.

Ketchikan, Alaska

Lumberjack show and Totem Bight Park. Enjoyed this day. Not as much time at this stop to shop and sightsee due to early departure of ship.

Juneau, Alaska

Whale watching and then shopping in Juneau.

Skagway, Alaska

Train up to the suspension bridge in the Yukon and back to Jewel Gardens via motor coach for lunch and a garden tour. One of our favorite excursions. People who took the all day train rides were not as happy--too much time on the train. Skagway looked like a lot of fun, but it was pouring rain, so we went back to ship.

Whittier (Anchorage), Alaska Did not visit port

Just caught train to Denali from here
