Review summary

Our Panama Canal cruise on the Coral Princess provided us with much-needed rest and relaxation.  It was the perfect number of at-sea days, combined with good ports of call.  There were a good variety of activities on board, too.  The food in the dining rooms was fantastic.  The Horizons Court was a little disappointing.  They were trying to be too many things to too many people.  (Too many ethnic dishes.)  The ship is a little dated, but it was still clean and well-maintained.

Entertainment

3 out of 5
Some of the live bands around the pool were not very good quality. However, the pianist, violinist, and entertainment in the Atrium were stellar.

Service and Staff

Charles and Richard were phenomenal waiters in the Bordeaux dining room.

Ship Quality

The decor needs updating.

Cabin / Stateroom

Some of the furniture could use replacing. The balcony was a little worn and dirty. However, our cabin steward cleaned it after we requested it be cleaned.

Ship tip

The staff and activities onboard Coral Princess were great. We particularly enjoyed the ballroom dancing lessons. The waiters and food in the main dining room are top notch.

Swimming with dolphins at Dolphin Cove is a great attraction. You get a lot of up close time with a dolphin. Dunn's River Falls is also a must-see, but climbing it would be strenuous for anyone with health problems.
