Review summary

This is our first Princess cruise and we were very surprised how many quite elderly people were on the ship. We are retired so we are not young. This is our fifth cruise and we were surprised at the age of people. Other people our age noticed the same. However we did have a wonderful time. I was surprised that Princess did not spend more time encouaging us to cruise with them in the future. This is our fifth cruise and love cruising. We would be well worth Princess spending a little time encouraging people like us to return.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
The dinners in Bordeaux were excellent. The breakfast and lunch buffet were a little repetitive!

Entertainment

3 out of 5
The shows were very well done but a bit repetitive. The deck party was great fun. More activities like this were needed. Pool volleyball and such with that age group was not a hit and had poor turnout.

Children's Programs

1 out of 5
There were so few children on the ship. We had an 11 year old and 15 year old grandchildren with us. Thanks goodness they are comfortable around adults. The "social" staff were very good to them. The teen activities were not a hit!

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
The staff were extremely friendly. Especially the "social" staff: Mel, Sean, Jorje etc.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
The ship is unbelievably clean!!

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Very comfortable!

Ports of call

Oranjestad, Aruba

3 out of 5
Only have the morning there. The beachers are worth a visit.

Cartagena, Colombia

3 out of 5
Great historical place to see. Annoying vendors on the streets.

Puerto Limon, Costa Rica

5 out of 5
We visited the rainforest! Great visit!

Ocho Rios, Jamaica

5 out of 5
Great shopping for souvenirs.

Pros: The organization was superb!

Cons: The seminars (ports and interest) were far too long. An hour is more acceptable! After the seminars(Adam and dr. Ryan on the panama Canal) that went on for 2 hours, we hesitated about going to any more although we were interested.

Recommends Coral Princess? Yes!
