Review summary

This was our 2nd Princess Cruise and I think just about everything was better: staterooms, food, information about our destinations, etc. The entire staff was wonderful. Everybody was so friendly and accommidating. My only complaint (and I felt this way after the first cruise, too) is that I don't believe that there should be a charge for soda and bottled water. Also ridiulous is that there is a charge for ice cream when anyone can go to the dining room and get it for free! I understand that the cruise line has to make money, but I think there is plenty made on alcohol, etc.

Entertainment

There is a big problem with the internet scheduling. Both with the excursions and the Lotus Spa. We had a 16 month old with us and according to the internet we HAD to purchase tickets for her to go on the excursions with us. We only found out after that she should not have been charged (we were given a refund). We scheduled 3 spa services on line and all of them were incorrect! The Spa personel said 'this happens all the time" ...well, it shouldn't! You need to correct this.

We would have liked a play area that was appropriate for children under 3.

Even though it rained the whole time we were there we still enjoyed it tremendously. The Mendenhall Glacier was beautiful and our guide was terrific.

We went on a Duck Tour (not a Princess option). It was wonderful and should be included in your itinerary.

Pros: Staterooms had plenty of room. The Stewards were great - we had a 16 month old with us and our steward was WONDERFUL: always anticipating our needs. The food was terrific (dining rooms and buffet).

Cons: There were no specific 'play areas' for the Under 3 crowd
